1M availability in ZA - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Has anybody here had success in acquiring a 1M?
It seems impossible according to the dealers I’ve spoken to as there were only 64 units allocated for SA. Does anybody perhaps know where I can get one?

You will just have to wait and see who sells their's first ..

Yup All sold! There are apparently 12 Being delivered to Sandton Auto, they were due to arrive last week but shipment has been delayed somehow. Speculation from dealer level says that the second shipments are coming in in November 2011. But we'll see...

Hey guys, thaks for your replies!
I was told that if the demand is high enough, BMW SA may consider bringing in a few more next year, no guarantees though. I have committed to signing a request to purchase at my dealer so my name is in the system now and I am hoping for the best!

I was 13th on the list at BMW Auto Alpina in Boksburg, they were allocated 2 or something crazy! I am still waiting to see any on the roads, every sun burnt orange Ford ST I see in the distance brings instant disappointment when I catch up and find its not a 1M...

Hi, me 2. I have paid s deposit about 9 months ago and still waiting,but I think BMW will bring in more next year, I saw one on gumtree a month back the guy was asking like 700k, I think it's crazy

R700000 is the price that BMW should have launched that car at - comparing it to other cars in it's league(TT RS, etc). Which makes the 1M a great value for money vehicle at R534000...Wish I could get my name down now for one of these cars(no availabilty at all!)

Looking at trading in my car and taking a long shot to try get a 1m but i don't think its gonna happen.

Called JSN and he said they might get one next but it will be used as a company car??

Theres a VO & a AW in the auto trader going for 750k+
