Thumbs up Proper pics of my wife's '11 135i...

Ladies & Gents,

As some of you might know, my wife got a new 135i. We bought it on Monday, and today I gave her a full detail. Nothing too drastic, but still spent 7 hours to get it where I wanted it. Since the interior was perfect, the bulk of the work was spent getting the work in decent shape. I think I got about 90% correction. And, as you can see, I also put the black BMW kidney grills in there.

- washed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss
- clayed with that very very special stretchy clay
- Menzerna 85RD on a blue Uber pad (needed more punch)
- Menzerna 203S on a green Uber pad (took care of the swirls nicely)
- Menzerna Power Lock
- Swissvax Insignis v2

Enjoy the pics:

Beautiful looking car! wouldn't want to be the one that has to keep those seats clean though.

great job!

i have used swissvax concorso on my new bsm - best wax i have ever used - next year i will buy some crystal rock

have you tried swissvax/ (swizöl as it is called here) leather care products?

amazing results on bright colored leather - especially the leather gaze sealant applied after cleaning and conditioning - really good protection

Although pricey, I'm a big fan of Swissvax products. I have Swissvax Mirage, Insignis and Insignis v2 as waxes, along a few of their other products. I have Leatherique for leather cleaning, but will likely purchase the Swissvax leather care product soon. A friend uses it on his Mercedes G55 interior and he swears by it.

Which products will you be using?

I put the car under the sodium lights in an underground parking garage yesterday and saw there are some remaining fine scratches on the horizontals. Looks like I'll be taking care of those this week. Thinking about Menzerna SIP on a yellow Uber pad...

I use all mothers products, but I do everything by hand. I'm afraid to use orbital buffers

Look into a DA polisher, like the Porter Cable 7424XP or what I used (which is a forced DA) which is the Flex XC 3401.

These will work great for most polishing jobs and it's pretty difficult to screw up your paint.

Great results after the detail work! Solid choice in products as well. I just spent about 12 hours doing a full detail job on mine last week. I love her color combo. I have the same interior, but my exterior is black sapphire metallic. Pics turned out very nice.

It's called "Lemon Boston Leather". Not sure which other years it was available...
