SBO 135i on E85 and 93 octane dyno!!!

Well here are the results for my SBO (some bolt ons) 135i on E85/93 octane mix:

Map 0: 288whp/306wtq
Map 2: 372whp/389wtq
Map 7: 392whp/398wtq

My results for map 2 on straight pump 93 to this new 93/E85 mix did not show much difference powerwise on the dyno, therefore I neglected to overlap the old graph with this new graph. However, you can clearly see why I love doing the mix and having a lot of fun in map 7. For reference, my 135i only has JB4, Raceland downpipes, and Helix FMIC. I am still sporting stock intake and stock catback as you can see on the video I have uploaded, so needless to say I am very ecstatic with my results! Picture and video taken by my new Samsung Galaxy S2.

Crazy than over three runs you lost 30tq even with an IC.

Your not moving but still. That's a lot of tq to drop

Torque is supposed to drop on less powerful maps.

Run 2 and 3 = Map 7
Run 4 and 5 = Map 2
Run 6 = Map 0

How much did you gain in Map 0? Did you do any runs with your bolt on's with 93 in Map 0 before?

How much did you gain in Map 7 compared to your previous results?

Do you have the AFR graph? What gear did you do the dyno pull in?

I did runs on map 0 with 93 before, but its nothing drastic. I don't have the files on me but it did 278whp/296wtq on map 0 with pump 93 several months ago. Again, the same thing on map 2 aren't too drastic either as well. E85/93 is mainly used as an octane booster and takes advantage of map 7 lightweight race map.

Sweet numbers man, i'm driving over tomorrow and gonna throw in half a tank of e85 and crank up the JB4. Also ordered the Raceland downpipes about 10 minutes ago after reading your thread. HAHA

I never ran pump 93 on map 7 before, too scared to do so as Terry stated that map requires at least 100 octane.

I don't have the AFR graph on me, but it is saved at the shop. Perhaps some other time I will go back to them and see if I can get a copy. All pulls were done in 4th gear.

Looks like you dyned at awd???

Good results .I bet you if you had no rear cats, and a dci you would touch 400 whp on map 2 with straight pump gas.Did you log the runs/afr too?

10hp+ gain just from an E85 blend, good enough reason for me to try the combination.

Yes, I've always gone to them since 2008 when I had my Evo converted to run E85 exclusively.

I honestly don't see how it can crack 400whp on map 2 even if I had those mods, maybe 380-390 if I am lucky. It just really needs more boost to even go there, but I'm not about to try it out as I like my stealth sounding 135i and would gladly sacrifice some power.

I don't have any logs from the dyno run especially since it is a non loading dyno, but the AFR's are recorded and they have it. I'll pick them up some other time when time permits as of right now I am loaded with school work.

I think 3 inch d.p,no rear cats, dci, and full cooler setup will touch 400 whp.I hear you about being stealth, but i have all those mods listed and you can't hear my car unless wot.I even got my cooler black with the piping for that reason.Rear cat delete is good for 12 to 15 whp..

Then by all means go to dyno and see for yourself. I have yet to see a JB4 making over 400whp on map 2...They have all been done on map 7 with race gas or a different map that requires meth.

Better yet, take it to the track and see if your trap speed is impressive on pump gas. Thats what I'll be doing sometime next month when classes are finishing.

I yet to see anyone dyno with the mods I listed on real 93 oct.Removing the rear cats brings the boost up to .5 to a 1 pound more.I wonder how safe the e85 is on the pump??

Pardon my ignorance.

Map 0 = stock (other than the bolt-ons, obviously)?

I'm now a believer in the E85/93 Combo. It's in my car right now and holy mother of God it is unbelieveable the difference. Map #7 FTW!

Forgot to ask; what was your E85/93 blend ratio? Was it 4 gallons of E85 and the rest pump gas?

Oops can't believe I forgot to mention it on this thread, but yeah I've been running 50/50 ratio for the longest time. Thats 6 gallons of E85 and 6 gallons of pump 93 whenever I'm near empty.
