Hi sparoz.. all done.
Took a total of about 15 mins to install N55 mids, once up on the lift. ( Thanks to Pete at Advan for the use of his car lift ) Not a big difference in sound up to about 2.5K rpm... then when your revs lift past 2.5K its just much much deeper and more growl in the exhaust sound and more gurgle in the down shift.. Not a raspy exhaust note, but a more deeper menacing sound. ![]() Definately more torque through 2nd and 3rd in the upper rev range. Cheap mod if you dont want to get the Akra or after market mids.. Looks OEM from underneath..nice and neat. You can actually hear the turbos whistling now.. Just left the Sydney German car show, where my car was placed alongside a Audi R8 V10 convertible.. There was more pix taken of my car than the R8.. ![]() The Gunmetal painted wheels really set off the VO.. makes the wheels look so FAT.. |

Hey Sparoz.. was getting a bit OT on Ian's thread, so gone back to mine mate.
These are the H and R springs I am awaiting delivery. Part number 28910-1. No need to update the dampers.. Lowers the back 0.6 inch and the front 1.2 inch.. Have driven a friends 1M, with the same setup.. no problems. http://www.hrsprings.com/scripts/app...Find3&MakeID=4

Shock valving should be matched to spring rate. As long as the lower H&R springs have same/similar rate as the OEM springs you should be fine.
After grinding alik's front bar on a Darwin speed bump two days ago I'd be scared to go too low with a 1M. |
