Really... Would the expense and overall ugly look of the wrap, reduce that much heat soak to justify..

I also doubt that it is justified. The AFE plastic is supposed to be heat resistant anyhow

Didn't buy the Eisennman midpipes..

Didnt know that they had been modified, and 2 extra mini resonators installed mid way before sound box..

Kept the N55 mids..

Spied: 2014 F80 M3 Sedan Gets Power Dome (Hood Bulge)!

We've just spied this afternoon this F80 M3 sedan prototype showing a power dome / hood bulge for the first time. The M3 may have now entered the FEP (Final Evaluation Phase) stage of testing. Until now some M enthusiasts have been disappointed to see the lack of a power dome on previous prototypes, but this mule confirms that the F80 M3 and F82 M4 will feature an aggressively shaped hood.

We think that there is a possibility that the hood lip/bulge could feature a heat extractor vent to ventilate the engine compartment as well as enhancing the sounds coming from the engine.

No, as I said before, it is for the microphone pickup to playback engine noise into the cabin

This would really be interesting if BMW have confirmed, that better under hood ventilation, will reduce heat soak on the N54/55 engines..
Would love to see a close up of the M3 extractor vents..

Installed the pedal set from GTB Performance.

.Ease of install is 5 out 10.
.Just need a sharp drill bit for the brake pedal.
.Quality is 10 out of 10.
.Fitment for the dead pedal and gas is 10 out of 10.
.Brake and clutch pedals, not specific for RHD and are oversized. This in turn makes the GTB pedals a good 5mm larger on all 4 borders of existing pedal mounts.
.Two more screws needed for proper secure mounting of gas and clutch pedals and NOT supplied.

Would I have purchased if I had seen in person installed ? Probably not.

But on the upside.. Once installed they do look the bomb.

Nice, and thanks for the write up. Very importantly, can you still heel/toe or are the pedals too close?

Mine should arrive today, i went same colour as John.

I'll pop over to Rhodes tmrw and get your help to install seeing how ur the pedal Jedi master now

No probs mate.. Will be at Advan in the morning for a cuppa and should be home in arvo.

Heel/toe for me is easier, as these pedals are slightly larger than OEM.

Good job Joe.
Interesting choice where you ended up putting the screw+bolt for the clutch and brake pedals.
Hoping to get my done this weekend.
