The main difference to the LT ( Linear Throttle ) is that the power now is instant from lower in the rev range and constant, without any sharp spikes as in the LT map... more manageable for DD and torque where you want it.

Also, the big PLUS with the ST Map, is that the "M" button function is now available.

The Meisterschaft has adapted nicely and now after 250kms since install, it has carboned up, and settled nicely..
Driving "sedately" if there is such a thing, it is just as quiet () as the Eisenmann, BUT once you go WOT, its just orgasimic.. Very high pitched rich exotic "scream"... Wakes the friggen dead..

No regrets whats so ever...LOVE the combo..

Now to research a FMIC.. ETS seems to be the No1 choice at the moment..Watching the ease /discreet of install on Ian's car has made up my mind..The least amount of cutting the better IMO..
Anyone else running the NEW Cobb V4.02. maps?

Would like to hear your thoughts.. 1M or 135i or any N54..

They appear to be MUCH more tame compared to the 301 maps.

True.. I didn't really give the 301 a fair go, as I switched over to the 4.02 within days..

Although the 4.02 seems to be more for a DD, whilst still retaining a certain amount of aggressiveness...

I should add I was planning on stacking the jb on top of the cobb but really didn't like the feel of the base agressive map and decided to stay with the jb and get the new g5 board, installing today......

Fair enough... On the 1M, the mapping seems adequate, as the car has a moderate factory tune as a foundation, as you know. Just gives it that aggressive edge down low, without having to wait for the over boost to kick in and give you whip lash..

I actually found the cobb a bit soft down low and there was a big punch in the mid ranges, where as i find the jb4 pretty consistant thoughout, i.e pulls the same from 0 to 6500 no rubber band sling if that makes sense??

The JB4 is superior when it comes to boost control compared to the COBB. Same goes for the Procede I'm sure. Your right Paul, the piggy's are more consistent and smoother on boost.

G5 installed 15 minutes ago (can't remember the meth scaling number though) and will go for a drive tomorrow and see there is a difference

Makes sense, but the Cobb on the 1M acts differently than on a stock N54 so to speak..

It actually acts similar to what you are describing with the JB4.. A constant and even pull from down low , and right through the rev range.

I did look very closely at it (before i bought an ETS) and after looking at a bunch of technical IC flow discussions i decided the 'extra' area would interupt the smooth flow and create a bunch of turbulence of air through the IC and be counter productive.

It looks like a very large volume unit, perhaps it will bring the nose of a 1M to it's knees based on Ian's experiences?

ETS is my first choice, but have sent them 3 emails with no reply in regards to delivery, yet Helix have replied to my emails instantly..

Ha.. Don't think so, with me running those heavy duty H&R's..

Have discussed the stepped FMIC with Justin@Advan several times, and he is convinced after extensive research, that is the way to go for greater cooling, with a greater front facing cooling service area..
