So far its been a great experience with the BMW dealership in Würzburg, Germany. Their military sales dept is amazing, so anyone stationed here in Germany within a short trip of Würzburg, i highly recommend going there and talking to Donna.

They are giving me a loaner car, 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman, to drive for the duration of my wait on the build. They will also be shipping the car for me for free when i PCS!.

I should get a VIN and production date by the end of the month and according to my agent, she said the build dates look to suggest mine will be delivered right around Xmas!

Since i am new to this site i guess i will use that as an intro thread as well.

I am an 11B with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. Currently stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany. My other cars include:

2003 VW GTI 20th AE Imola Yellow - Big turbo w/ all the extras, currently down awaiting another engine build in the spring. Its my project car.
2001 Lincoln LS V8 - In the states in storage. Its the wife's DD, when we PCS back to the states that is.
1990 BMW 320i touring - Wife's DD over here.

Sounds great! Though i will have to wait until close to then to know if i can make it. We are suppose to have main bodies rolling out in June so i could be on my way to, or in A-stan at that time.

But if i am still here then i am definitely a go!

gosh, im so undecided. i know its a good problem to have, but its still a problem :-(

Ditch the red interior for sure. Terra & oyster look good with the blue, gray or black work well too.

I picked up my 2012 135 at the Welt in Sept with LeMans and Oyster w/ silver trim. They are a fantastic color combo. I couldn't find any cars in the states with it so I ordered it blind and am very pleased with it.

CJTYPES, thank you for the pic. I was able to go and look at the bamberg, germany dealership today and got to see some colors in person and it gave me a great personal opinion.

After seeing the options i had narrowed it down to in person today i have decided to go with Space Gray and Coral Red.

The oyster really did look great in person, however, i have a 17 month old little girl so keeping any color clean will be a chore. Oyster would be even more so from what i saw today. That and the denim bleeding issue really worried me.

Congrats! Love the space grey with coral red, I almost ordered that instead of the alpine white with coral red.

Delivery day is 19 DEC!

Winter tires get put on the 16th, as well as the black kidney grills.

At the very last second (literally the day before i got the VIN) i decided to change the car color to AW. I kept the CR interior though. I kept seeing SGM cars over here and they just didnt pop out like i thought the color would. AW though just looks brilliant to me.

So, i pick up the car on the 19th, then go down to Munich on the 20th for my tour of the Welt on the 21st, all provided by my dealership. Hotel, factory tickets etc. Not a bad deal for letting the dealership convince me not to do Welt delivery.

My dealer sent me this! Monday is delivery day.

Really sad though that i specifically asked for NO LICENSE PLATE FRAME!!!! Gonna have a talk with them Monday to see if they will give me a new front bumper cover that doesnt have nasty holes in it.

I got the mounting hardware for the front license plate frame with my new car, appears to be a screw less design. Hopefully yours is the same.
