Dont smoke out fully, black out only reverse light if anything, red looks amazing on a white car. headlight wise, just cover orange.

i hate that look. it's a modding aesthetic that has been played out, don't default to it.

As you can see in the example above, smoking the tail lights takes away the gloss of the red that as previously mentioned, looks so good on a white car. Makes the car look cheap. Leave them alone.

Yea, just buy some quality smoked tint film and cover the clear portion of the tail lights leaving the glossy red alone. That's what I did and while your at it cover the amber corners with the same film.

In my opinion, it makes the car look cheap. However, to each their own - just as long as you are content with the final result.

No.

Smoking taillights is so 2004. Please don't. Makes the car look ghetto. Spend your $ on LCI tail lights instead.

Hey if you like it more power to you but every time I see a smoked taillight car here in SoCal I just think its ghetto & rice.

I agree with SpaceG though if you smoke just the white light at the bottom it does look pretty good.

Yea, i was into the smoked out thing when i had a 350z, but honestly the red brings out the car in the rear and its just so hard to get rid of red especially if you have red interior because the car is just so beautiful the way it is.

Entirely smoking the tails are way overplayed already. Leave the red and smoke the clear ones.

like most people say, to each their own...I personally don't like the look of it when people smoke out any part of the lights with VHT or any other spray type because of the matte look. However, I don't mind the LaminX covers. Still gives you the glossy feel. I did that on my 330ci and I get a lot of compliments from them because it still looks clean! :thumbsup2:
