blow off valve sounds

How come I found those STI rolling on road got a very loud of blow off valve sounds but it seems I couldnt hear any from my 1M?

sorry guys, I am not familiar with cars and 1M is definitely my first turbo ride. I know this is a stupid question and please dont flame me at all.

Your air is recirculated stock. Get a charge-pipe with a "blow off valve" or run your stock diverter valves to the atmosphere if you want that sound.

If you want subtle, go with Dual Cone intakes (DCI's) and you will get a mild diverter valve sound.

If you want super loud and obnoxious, go with BOV's. I don't like the BOV sound personally on BMW's, which is why we don't sell them.
