its worth it, i waited 9 months, felt like i had incubated and given birth to it by the time it arrived

Mate, I felt the same emotions as you reading all the current 1M owners posts, but as the others have said, once its in your hands, all the anguish is quickly forgotten by the press of the M ( Magic ) button..

Like I have said.. the OEM axle back on the M is awesome.. Its the mids and DP's that I would be modding first.

Ordered Aug 2011 & I'm told mine is Feb build with May dleivery. Here's hoping no BS & no delays......

Ordered March 11, was born 27 October and arrived in Fremantle on Saturday!!

I think mine will be #6 out of 7 in WA. Can't wait for the next Perth meet in 2012......

My dealer indicated they (and other dealers) have only one build slot per month from now till March. There's no chance of expediting any order so to say. Based on all your experience especially the early days in 2011, is this possibly true?

Don't think it is as much as one per month from here on in... e.g. I know my dealer had 1 allocation left for Jan 2012 build as of last week....total of 4 cars all up. They said they can always request more, but if no allocation/production number, then not guaranteed.
You can cancel order and go to another dealer who has an earlier allocation, but at this stage it hardly seems worth it.

Read over weekend, that BMW may extend E82 production until end June, but not substantiated.

I received a call from BMW HQ just now asking if I'm still interested in the 1M, a follow up call from an enquiry I made in Feb/Mar this year. Could this mean they are looking to fill the extra 100 allocations as someone as suggested earlier? Or just losing the enquiry?

Donald, as mentioned on other posts, we all seem to think that BMW Oz ,haven't even filled their initial 100 allocations due to very very slow production of the 1M out of Germany.
All the 2012 deliveries would be part of the initial 100 Oz allocation..

It took my dealer 9 months to deliver 3 cars in 2011.
You will also find that the case with most dealers.

That's funny, I had similar call yesterday if I was still looking at a 135i... I registered interest in Jan 2011, just before I bought mine. Perhaps they'r working through a list at year end??

Explains it. They are probably just following up and/or closing off open enquiries. I'm reading too much into it. Christmas holidays leave me with too much time on hand!

Thanks for the reminder Joe. Fair then to assume that we would end up with a 100ish 1Ms here which is good for all owners.
