Taka - long time no see mate.

I spoke to the guys at ATC before Christmas, they haven't organised anything as yet although they did say they are thinking of just doing one big event over a couple of days rather than spread out over the year.

Haven't had the opportunity to photograph the tips on the car yet so I hope these will suffice for now.

Note that the modification is reversible using stock StSt tubing. The sleeves are spot welded. Tips are flared slightly to accept the 135i tips.

The work was done by a motorcycle exhaust fabricator while the muffler was off the car.

They look good Gazz.

Are the 135i tips larger in diameter, as the clearance seems reduced between to the parrallel tips.

Also are the 135i tips longer than the 1M tips?

From getbmwparts.com which is Tischer.

The tips aren't longer but are certainly larger diameter, hence the sleeving to fit them.

The 135i tips are tapered vs the straight 1M tips so they tend to appear a little shorter on the car; which is a good thing.

How many 1M will be in Oz total. I think I saw a thread that N America capped the total to 740 units

I'd say probably around 90 currently, end of March prod around 120. If BMW extend production to June, perhaps more through to August?

I am still waiting for BMW to confirm my build date, very frustrating. I ordered the car in August and AutoClassic haven't got any good news for me yet. i received this info from them last week

'I have spoken to our Stock Controller and she has explained that BMW Australia is currently allocating 1-2 build slots each month for all outstanding orders for the new 1M.
Your order is currently moving up the list, however, at this stage BMW has not confirmed a build month for your vehicle. BMW confirmed that all orders will be allocated prior to June.'

Is there another way I can get some info on my order?

Unfortunately no.

there is no promise until my order was actually built. I was confident I had a car since I was the 4th in line at BMW Melbourne (order made in Jan last year). But I had nothing concrete until pretty much last August when my order processed in BMW headquarters.

Your dealer has to keep on top of it. So many outstanding orders and even BMW Australia may not be getting a constant supply. I wonder the final number will ever get close to 200. . Per capita we are getting more 1M than North America already (740 cars for 10+ times of population)

Does anyone know how many 1M BMW Australia get each month. I know who to call but I can't be bothered? If you are watching this Howard, pls reply,..

OB1, IIRC someone else had posted something to this effect, i.e. 1-2 cars per month. I'm in the same boat but have received emails and calls reassuring that I will get one, not that it means much if I don't.

What colour did you order?
