Borla 1M Prototype Exhaust Video!

Here's a quick video that we threw together to show off the new Borla axle back exhaust. It sounds great and the low growl it has matches the mean look the 1M gives off.

We paired it with the Mad Dad mid pipe which is already available; the fitment is great.

The Borla Prototype should be available sometime shortly after the first of the year.

The green and blue lines represents the 1M with stock mid-pipe and muffler. Black and red with Mad Dad mip-pipe and Borla prototype muffler. Max gain is about 15 hp and 15+ ft/lb. We can see most of the gains are in the mid to higher rpm range so we know the stock system is not bad in lower rpm with lower exhaust flow, but can be a bottleneck once the flow demand goes up.

Current mods are GIAC Stage 1, AFE Stage 2 closed intake and ER CP. ETC FMIC is next...We will then report back on the gains.

I actually like the sound...hope its not crazy expensive.
Does the maddad midpipe 'sound' about the same as the berk midpipe? As in pairing the borla to berk.

Sounds great! What kind of prices for the mid and the exhaust?

That does sound pretty badass. I hope the pricing has some sanity attached to it.

I totally agree and hopefully it's not too much more $$ than the 135 exhaust they make.

15 hp and 15+ ft/lb gain at the wheels from the Mad Dad and Borla Muffler combo.

See post #1 for dyno chart.

The Mad Dad mid pipes actually sounds better through the use of much smaller resonators.

This axle back use the new multi core technology, very different than the old 135i system.

Hear this system in person at the So Cal 1M meet this Saturday!

Yes, it is. The gentleman in the link below has this same muffler on the stock mid pipe:
