Quick question,N55 DCT LAUNCH CONTROL

hi guys HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

ok i was playing around with my car yesterday near the new hoxton BIG W distribution center. amazing long fresh strip of tar..

took me a few goes but eventually i go it the launch control done..
just a question if anyone here has the same experience with a 1/1.5sec delay with it kick in after removing the foot off the brake??

is it natural?

I'm sure someone can chime in. 1.5 seconds seems like an awful lot though, you would think that kind of defeats the purpose of launch control!

You should bring the car out to the WSID drag day on Sunday 22nd January.

Yeah its just feels like forever, but once it does start going it goes hard..
but again i thought launch control means maximum acceleration with minimal wheel spin

maybe i just have to adjust me reaction time to the light if i was on a drag strip

Pretty Easy. You need to have travelled 10+km to have the car warmed up correctly. Then:

DTC or Traction off.
Sport Button On
Select M1
Left foot on the brake, right foot to the floor

Then release the brake.

The car wont engage launch control unless its temperatures are correct, but after that its good to go.

In the Z4 I get a small delay, not more than a second.
I do get a small delay when just flooring it anyway. (Damn computers)

Do you get the chequered flag coming up on the dash to tell you it is ready to go?

Mine is (warm up car) then:
1. Sport plus
2. Select M1
3. Foot on brake
4. Floor accelerator. (RPM limited to about 4000)
5. See flag come up on dash, then release brake.
6. Noticable wheelspin and squirming as you accelerate away.

all while avoiding
