driving fast in Atlanta - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

I moved to Atlanta recently and don't know many good places where I can drive fast due to Atlanta having lots of traffic and shitty roads. Anyone know of any good areas to drive in Atlanta, both straight away speed and twisting winding roads?

drive up north to Helen GA and do the Brasstown Bald Mountain loop from there....its awesome. My wife wont go up there with me anymore.

LOL, mine won't either. I took her up there in my 370z before I TT'd it and she got sick

There are none, Atlanta blows, hence why i only stayed there a year

For good straight line speed, there's a place in Commerce called Atlanta Dragway.

And for twisting, winding roads, there's an area in Braselton called Road Atlanta.

Another words...reserve the high performance driving for the appropriate venues. Not to be mean or anything...

Take hwy 400 and go north 1 - 1.5 hours. From Cumming I'm only 45 min from some of the best turns in the SE.
