Props to EinserM for setting this up... had a good time. As a former Volkswagen R32 owner and organizer for SoCal R32... I know that it's not an easy task. In 2004, we started with 15 VW R32s meeting up in Malibu and over the years, grew the group to over 200 enthusiasts with 169 R32s at our previous annual event, FASTIVUS. Along the way, Volkswagen of America called us up and got involved, sponsoring track days and debuting new cars to our enthusiasts group.

I look forward to upcoming SoCal 1M events and hope we can continue to grow this group of like-minded enthusiasts with each and every event. Special thanks to bimmerpost as well for providing a virtual home for our passions.

Thats like 3% of the entire 1M population! You shouldn't be allowed to do that for the same reason that large corporations don't let their top execs fly together. To much risk in case of a disaster.

Huge props to Kirk and company for making such an awesome meet... 20 1Ms! It was great to meet everybody and the turnout was beyond expectations!

I say that we make this the picture thread for the meet, it'll be cleaner than dumping them into the existing thread.

Here are a few cell phone photos to get people started...

Don't worry, there were plenty of SLRs handy for some real photos.

Not to take away from the car/meet, but it's interesting to see so many cars together that look exactly the same. Color, Wheels etc.
