WTF... Are these guys playing with you..

Thats BS... There is NO WAY it would have cleared customs without the QA certification..

I would be making sure it wasnt damaged in transit and they are trying to repair..

This is the longest delivery ever..BIG BS..

I think new 3 series priority delivery may be slowing things down. Dealer says has backlog of a few cars. They sent me a printout of the Itinerary and the 1M was sitting waiting for a 'Vehicle Cleaning' for 1 week. Went through customs on 13th Feb.

Silverstone BMW E39 M5 - Stage 2 Paint Correction, Interior, Engine Bay [IMAGE HEAVY]

Car: 1999 BMW E39 M5

Service: Stage 2 Paint Correction, Leather Condition, General Interior Clean & Engine Bay Clean

Comments:
- I picked the car up from the Northern Beaches on Saturday morning and as I was getting into the car, I knew I had my work cut out for me on this one.
- On the outside, the paintwork felt like sandpaper and the car had lost its shine.
- Plenty of scuffs marks, minor to medium scratches and minor swirl marks all over.
- Inside, a heavily soiled interior revealed scuff marks, dirt and stains.
- Unfortunately, due to its age, there were some wear marks on the leather that could not be removed and some deep scratches on the exterior that could only be reduced.
- The rear bar was the worst part of the car, almost as if it wasn't sprayed in two pack paint. It had a very matte finish and severe staining (partly from the Tubi exhaust spitting up fuel due to a rich tune). This rear bar was improved, but will definitely need a respray in time to come.
- Due to the rich tune, the exhausts were black again within minutes of cleaning them!
- The wheels also heavily caked in brake dust were badly pitted overall.
- Check out the images to see the glass finish at the end of the detail and the how the interior should look on an M5. It's hard to capture how liquid this car looks but in a couple of photos you can see that Silverstone pop! The owner couldn't be happier

Yeah, it was absolutely filthy - obvious indication was the texture of the paint.

Thanks Ian. I would've spent almost 20 hours on this one. To give you an idea, the clay bar alone took around 4 hours to do properly.

Thanks Joe. We applied that paint protection that I mentioned to you the other day. Fantastic results. Very liquid looking finish.

Great job. MUst say though, isnt it weird how even such a high end car like the M5 got those camry-style, ugly, black-rubber bumper strips (and only just over a decade ago?)

Could you even imagine that kind of shit aesthetic now?

...yeah now that you've mentioned it, it does look odd, but that was the style on the E36 M3 and the E39 M5 and gave it character back then.

Black Sapphire Metallic 2009 135i - Stage 1 PC & Engine Bay Detail

Car: 2009 BMW E87 135i

Service: Stage 1 Paint Correction & Engine Bay Detail

Comments:
- Despite being black, the car was in pretty good condition
- As usual, there were minor swirls all over the paint and holograms all over the car.
- Wheels were caked in brake dust so the OEM gloss black painted wheels were a matte brown colour.
- The car was seen at our Dyno Day the following day, and was absolutely gleaming! Needless to say, the owner was very happy with the result.
- The E87 has excellent lines for giving that liquid looking finish and this was no exception.

I didn’t have time to take many shots, but check out the before, during and after photos below:

DURING - 50/50s (notice the holograms removed in the 2nd half and the water beading on the air intake)
