yeh its strange, I think it will be ok, if the normal LCI's are PnP why wouldnt the ones that are 'smoked' not be ok!

I ordered through BMW Parts Online UK. I was advised they will send out my order within 2 days but after I paid and sending a few emails they told me they are out of stock.

They will get more stock in on the 24th and I've been advised that they're keeping my order aside for me from this batch.

Communication hasn't been very good, they don't reply to all of my emails and takes a while to respond. I'll give them a few more days due to the long weekend before I send them another email.

I put the smoked tails on my car as soon as I got it, they look MUCH better than the standard ones. Never saw another set until they had the runout version of the 123d that included them standard either.

That shifter is for the 7 Speed DCT... There is an aftermarket shifter available for steptronic/auto though:

Not quite the same - it's modelled on the 3/5/7 series shifter...

Basic verison - 63 21 2 225 381

With the normal LCI lights, are there also two versions? If so, then I think we should be good =)

Yup. 2 versions of the normal LCIs too... with and without LEDs...

Becareful not to mix them up, especially if you buy from eBay. The non-LED ones look terrible :P

Then maybe the pre 09/09 thing is bogus... hopefully the internal structure of the Blackline is the same as the normal LCI, thus 100% odds it'll work.

I like those odds

edit: knightelf: there's usually a $50-100 difference between the two on ebay...
