I've been interested as well...I can get a good deal on bc's so I have been strongly considering bc's with custom rate swift springs

I have them on my 135i. The ride is better than my h&r super sport springs and they are all the way low right now. I'm waiting for Bc to send me some lower rear springs and shocks to lower the rear some more.

Rebound and compression settings offer just stiff and not so stiff through a very wide range of adjustments. They bounce like crazy. They don't have any real bump control. But you can get the car low to the ground. The supplied wrenches are cheap and round over with just a few adjustments. And the list goes on. Best part is they are cheap.
They were on the Evo when I bought it. I'm a track guy so... But then again there are people that run them and are very happy. I'm just used to something with better quality all around. |

Every BC Coilover I have had experience with on other applications has been bad. On my STi the dampening characteristics were poor and didn't allow the spring to move at all, it had next to no travel so on bigger bumps the tire wouldn't be in touch with the ground and the shock bodies/locking collars all corroded and seized up. On a Mazdaspeed 3, two or three separate times I saw dampers blow with no abuse and under 1,000 miles. I would say all they're good for is a cheap way to slam your car if that's your thing... Otherwise it's an expensive way to get a poor riding suspension. The ER series I hear isn't too bad though, but I don't think they make them for the 135i.
