LOL ya technically I guess you are right, physically its your lip.

Thanks for helping us make sure the thing stays on at high speeds in the canyons, highways, and freeways while still providing proper ground clearance to enter and exit driveways etc.

Tomorrow we will add the AW stripe for you and take more pics!!

Honestly I think it needs the stripe to help distinguish it but I would say the AW guys should go with a strip of vinyl (2/8-3/16ths) along the bottom edge. This way they can switch between looks easily, vinyl isnt going to chip like paint would, and it can easily/cheaply can be replaced almost instantly.

As far as mounting it needs some double side tape along the leading edge and sides. The rear has three holes to bolt on with the existing three bolts underneath the OEM bumper.
Looks a little 'thick'? Or is it just the angle? The CRT lip appears to be thinner, giving the impression it has more of a knife edge. Perhaps due to the color stripe?

That was one of my first thoughts when I saw it too. If you look at both pics it doesnt look that different in thickness when compared to the hands in the pics.

I guarantee you Albertos fingers are much more slender than that German dudes fingers LOL. There was no way to get a 100% exact copy without one of them in hand.

Good looking CRT style lip for the most part.

Looks rather bulky when compared to the real thing. Why isn't the lip portion made thinner? In my opinion it would look a lot better.

+1, second reason for me to await the plastic version (ie: assuming solid mold (?), we can slice off as much as we please)

What is the (estimated) weight of this carbon version, is this version hollow or if not, what is the base material?

Ugh...after this happened to me over the weekend, I'm probably going to end up paying the same cost of this lip just to fix my bumper. Damn city potholes!!

Wrong....the city didn't properly mark an area they tore up to install water pipes. They conveniently left a deep 2'x2'x1' hole in the middle of the street which was pretty hard to see. A claims report has been filed with the city so hope to get reimbursed for their negligence. I was only going about 10-15 mph when this occurred.

To each his own, and I think it's great the more products are becoming available for our 1Ms, but I don't really "get" this piece.

Although I'd probably also have to add more rear downforce, I might be interested in a splitter (though not carbon fiber), but this CRT-style lip is unlikely to do much aero-wise.

And to me it looks a bit like a partially extended tongue...
