You win an empty black box

It took an hour to read the ECU last night. I sent it off to Evolve & I should have the new tune file soon.

My criteria were:
- improved driveability, throttle response, reduced lag
- DIY
- focus at lower rev range where most daily driving takes place
- fairly conservative tune
- not HP driven. Don't care about the dyno numbers at top end
- customer support

Evolve meets all of these. It has got great user reviews on the 1M forums

Not sure if any other 1M's in Oz running Evolve as yet.

Cobb: may be another good option, but too few reviews on the 1M application. I'm sure it is a great tune.

ESS: As Sparoz & Alpine said, ESS no longer developing for the 1M. Also not many raving fans with the ESS tune... it seems to be just 'OK'

Can't believe you beat me to it! Anyway, mine is coming tomorrow. Except I will have to wait for the charger to come in as I will need to flash ESS back to stock first.

Tip: download the software from http://www.evolvetuning.us/about-us/...n-manuals.html , rather than the link provided in the box. The USB drivers would not install otherwise (at least not for me).

Who else is running Evolve on here?

Actually won't have time this weekend, but the charger is in transit as well, so might see if I can hook everything up Friday. Do you know what's the redline of the tune?

redline & speed limit removal are optional. I opted for speed limit removal, not revs though. Think the limit is 7,200RPM if you opt for it
