Also fitted the BMS oil catch can yesterday. This CNC aluminum part is top quality and looking at the oil in the pipes, I should have done it ages ago.

Hi all
Well i had a chance to run up a few 1Ms on the Dyno yesterday and drive the Evolve car on the road. The Evolve tune in the 1M is fine nice and smooth it is not aggressive and has a very safe AFR. The boost curve is a bit messy but still better than some others i have seen. All in all i would be happy to have one in my 335.

But if you want to go all out you would still have to stack a Procede or JB i think that the Cobb offers more tuning advantages using pro tuner etc
but Evolve is a very good option.

Ian did you have any coding done before hand?
Does writing to the ecu over ride any coding? I'm assuming coding writes to different modules but not sure what flash tunes upload to.

Tune only does ECU, not the other modules. If you have done coding, it should stay intact

Update on EvolveR tune after 200kms. Tune has definitely got better and settled. Car is just so reactive from low revs and pulls very smoothly & strongly through rev range.... The tune has exceeded my expectations

That's good to hear. Would love to see how it compares to other tunes eg Edwin's 135i, as you're making decent power. maybe some friendly runs?

135i's like Edwin's, Kenny's etc are in a different league power wise. This is just a S1

whenever i think of the IC i can't help but wonder that there's gotta be a way of cooling it, either spraying something onto it (yes i know this is frowned upon) or some sort of Thermoelectric cooling. this should in my limited understanding would act like a freezer on the still hot air charge going through the IC to get it nice and chilly.

Watersprays onto IC's are quite common. You can rig this up fairly easily to activate based on boost pressure just with a simple hobb switch.
