Bmw 1m clutch upgrade

So in looking for a clutch upgrade i research all the clutches for the 08 n54 135i and ACT or HPF seem the best.

But in looking around for info on the 1m i thought since we have an n55 shifting linkage i have no clue if we have a n55 clutch or an n54 clutch.

In doing research i found out that the clutch disk in the 08' 135i differs from the clutch disk in the 11' 135i

- we have the same clutch disk as the 11' 135i which the part # ends in 8492

- our flywheel also differs from both the 08' and the 11' but from our flywheel to the 11' the flywheel differs from 1 single number in the part number.

Example
-11' - 3249
- 1m - 3250

Trying to find a clutch upgrade that works

Does anyone have any info on clutch upgrades for the 1m?!!!????!?

Didn't Turner recently buy a 1m? I'd call them. Or call some of the vendors you mention above and ask them?

Please let us know what you find out. I'm curious to know too!

BTW, you getting slippage?

I have 8000 miles.

But today when i tested it no slip so i guess maybe the clutch plate was really warm

I think ZF Sachs makes an upgraded clutch.

http://www.sachsperformance.com/Sach...4376_4587.html

Here is ZF Sachs contact info...

S-Performance GmbH

I do not think Sachs has a US importer - yet.

Acording to RealOEM.com the 1M and the N55 135i's use the same clutch disc... # 21217598492

I bought 2 months ago a clutchmaster FX300 for my 1M...and now it's handling better with the power...and the clutch pedal now it's a little lower and heavier, but the shifts are faster...

FWIW, I'll likely go with a SPEC Stg. 2+ clutch with a steel single mass flywheel (also made by SPEC) when my clutch is in need of replacement.

Believe it's available from Harold at HP Autowerks and from Jake/Dzenno at ProTuning Freaks.
