Post Hartge Tunes the 1M Coupe to 401hp

Hartge Tunes the 1M Coupe to 401hp

COMMENTS

German tuner Hartge has released its tuning program and cosmetic upgrades for the 1 series M coupe.

For more power, the Hartge ECU tune for the 1M's N54 engine paired with its sports exhaust system pushes the 1M's power from the factory 335hp/332lb-ft to 396hp and 391lb-ft torque.

The resulting real-world performance increase? According to Hartge, their 1M goes from 0-200kmh (124mph) in 11.34 seconds (a 2.18 second decrease over the factory 1M's 13.52 seconds). On top of that, there's an increase in efficiency of 0.5L/km less consumption than the factory 1M.

Cosmetic aero parts include a trunk spoiler and roof spoiler.

Is there some kind of conspiracy to make me rethink my decision to do no more mods to my car for a while?

First there was the Resvo BSM and now this.

I was really hoping the Hartge would look like a$$ and I could say 'no thanks' but this car looks nice, clean and awesome.

So how is Hartge special when others have already been dynoing higher than this?

I guess this is more informational than record-breaking.

I like the exterior mods. Tasteful and true to the original look. Which is more than you can say for a number of the early tuner specials.

Not bad like some others but I guess I would just take the trunk spoiler for mine, good work on that. A few more pictures would be fine.

Tasteful. Hartage usually comes in FULL OUT exterior crap. This is tasteful and still leaves the 1M how it should look.

typo - "0-200kmh (124mph) in 11.34 seconds (a 2.18 second increase over the factory 1M's 13.52 seconds). "

should be 'DECREASE' not 'INCREASE'

Hartge also does not list the peak torque available with overboost.

Pretty unimpressive!

So 0-124mph in 11.34 seconds?

Overly optimistic aren't they?

FastestLaps shows factory 1M's 0-200kph as 15.2s and even then people are skeptical of it.

Stock 1M been dynoed with 331rwhp and 362rwtq I would like to see how much power this thing put to the ground. That would make a fair comparaison versus underatted bmw's numbers

I've love to see that 0-200kmh run for proof. Assuming it goes 0-60 4.34 seconds, it went from 60-124 in 7 seconds. thats quick

What do you expect? The stock n54 thrbos are small and run out of air at high rpm, a tune wont help, only bigger turbos will.

Have you seen dyno runs of tuned 1Ms with stock turbos. The power doesn't have to drop so dramatically.

Absolutely. I saw that dinan justified their power taper bc of concerns of overheating the turbos, but that doesn't seem to be a concern in the ess, Giac, evolve, etc. tunes.
