N55 midpipe or maddad

I havevthe akra slip on plus donwpipes. Im debeating between the maddad mid section or the N55

I have bought the agencypower midpipe but the bending and welding was a total disaster. It was too long of 1 inch

So, I want a new midsection very quickly. My dealership can have the N55 midpipe in 24 hours. Should I wait and ordred the maddad?

Anynthoughts.

Thanxs

I have MD's on stock muffler. They are louder than N55 mids... deep noise with over-run burble and really bark on hard acceleration. I am pleased I chose them.

I have the MadDad's on the Akra slip-on, no issues with fitment, you can't go wrong with them.

Is only advantage of N55 midpipe (compared to stock) that it is noisier, or is it better flow as well?

No cats, better flow = HP increase ~10HP

Mad Dad will give you much better flow and ultimately more power. Plus it will have a deeper sound than the N55 pipe.

Are they like double the price of N55 midpipes in US? That might really be better choice but that's a lot of difference in price.

Are they as easy to install as the N55?

People who are with the N55 midpipes talk about better throttle response and better revving at high rpm plus reduced or eleminated drone. Other than good noise and power/torque gains does the MD bring these same benefits also? User comments will be appreciated.

And how do you guys can send them to Chile, I am worried about the quality of packaging for such a product travelling such a distance.

Please PM me with pricing details to Santiago, Chile.

have the maddads installed over CPe catless downpipes and stock exhaust. i must say the fitment is perfect.

the sound is nice. but to be honest, i'm a little disappointed because there is this raspy sound between 2000-2300 rpm, right when you shift and accelerate during city driving, that sounds like a honda civic 4 banger with exhaust -not nice and sounds cheap. other than that, on the entire rev range, it sound very nice.

I've had the Maddads on my 135i and now on the 1///M. My experience as far as sound has been anything but what you describe. Frankly, your catless DPs have a lot to do with the sound characteristics.

Since Ozi was asking about midpipe only, I am pretty sure he won't be experiencing "honda civic 4 banger with exhaust" sound.

Glad to hear that and yes I am considering just a mid pipe change.

Berk or Maddad. I know everyone loves the N55 mid pipe due to the price but the sound is just so much worse than an aftermarket mid pipe due to that one huge resonator that is on the N55 mid pipe. I have heard both in person and the Berk/Maddad has a deeper more sports car sound while the N55 sounds more muscle car / diesel truck.
