I think the front looks great but he really needs to dump the M badges. Plus the money would have been better spent buying a 135i in the first place, it's that engine that really makes these cars special!

Yeah agreed..... The car has too much going for it too lambo door soft top , lack of exhaust idk reminds me of high school hondas that pretended they had something they didn't , but ur money ur design man

It's no different than LTBWM's F10 to M5 conversion. It's your car, do what you like. They didn't make a lot of 1Ms so it's not that easy to "just get a 1M". I agree, it needs a rear conversion or it looks funny.

You have to take into account car prices outside of the US (where is pretty much the cheapest in the world...). So it is probably more feasible for that owner to do this to own a "1M".

who cares if it looks like a 1M? it's not a 1M and he knows that. I personally plan on converting to a 1M body style 1. because it functions so much better than our tiny fenders. & 2. because it looks awesome. His car is red, as far as I can tell they never made any red 1M's so his car is unique. Stop hating on it, except of course for those lambo doors.

I don't think most of the people are hating their just stating their opinions on why they don't like it.

What is the difference between what he did and a e39 guy getting m5 bumper front/back. Or even a e46 getting m3 bumpers in the front.

or would a 2003 540i be posing to be an M5? cause looks wise all it is missing is a quad exhaust and the oval mirrors. (Taking about exterior only)

Or what about the e82 guys getting a quad exhaust on there cars? are they trying to be 1m posers too?

or how about 128i (like myself) that has the M-sport package from factory posing to be 135i?

I wouldn't buy those parts for my car. What I would get is the 1m bumper made by Kerscher.

Overall I think it looks great... but with the front being much wider than the back now.. make the car look a bit weird.

Nope, stock the front end is 1.5 inches narrower than the rear, the 1m front end should come close to perfectly square.

Would like to see a side shot to see if the front quarters line up with the side skirts. This looks way better and higher quality than other widebody kits to fit bigger tires.

PS... even if it looked dead stock, only a wanabee would do this to a 128i.

glad to see these are OEM parts. if this meets the oem 135i side skirt more gracefully than the ER quarter meets its skirt, i may like this better. i was never totally happy with the look of the ER front widebody.

+1 for originality. At least he used BMW stock parts and not some aftermarket kit that has to be attached using chicken wire, tie wraps and some bondo.

probably be cheaper to get the cf widebody when you take into account that you don't have to paint it

and it's about 1.5" wider either side, and super super sexy lol

It is a good effort but definitely needs the rear and a bit more work in fitment.
