What to go with first

If you were to choose between front mount or cobb/jb4 which would you go with? I'm at a stand still...I know a tune with give me more horsepower, but a fmic will be better for the turbos especially with the summer coming up. Even with a tune, I would still be having heat soak from the shitty factory fmic. hmmm...help me out

Easy, Tune.

If JB4, run max cool mode if you really have problems, but in Philly c'mon it's not that hot. I live in San Antonio and FMIC came after tune, Dps, chargepipe, and meth. FMIC is great no doubt, but it unless you're tracking the car I wouldn't even consider when there so much more to gain with other mods first. GL.

You should start with a tune. FMIC is a wast of money unless you are running a tune.

I know its not the hot. Summers do get into the 90's. Just curious as what route to go with. I will never track the car...its my dd. The question is now what tune to go with Cobb or JB4. My brother has the 335i with Cobb and he loves it. I've heard JB4 autotunes it when adding bolt-ons, plus its cheaper, but i've seen cobb giving better power gains. Hmm...

JB4 costs money to do the upgrades when they come out, while COBB offers free upgrades. So in the long run they will both end up costing about the same. It boils down to preference. When I'm ready to buy my tune I'm going with COBB.

I would recommend this order.
JB4
BMS intakes
Meth Kit
Catless Downpipes
FMIC

The first three will give you the best bang for the buck for the price of a good FMIC...

I'm not trying to meth my car. It's going to be a dd and don't want to run problems later with meth

Only major hardware upgrades cost money with the JB4, new firmware updates are posted for users to download free over on n54tech. And when you do pay for an upgrade, like the new big turbo board BMS is working on, you'll be getting things that you could never get from a flash tune so I wouldn't say it's quite apples to apples. Both great products though so it really comes down to personal preference.

Haha thats not what I wanted to hear since it doesn't help me choose between the two..only makes me question more which one to get lol. I've seen the cobb in action and know for a fact its a great product especially with being able to change the throttle settings and what not. Just confused on which one to get lol

FWIW I have cobb and love it. I have been running Cobb on my 135i since I bought it in Jan 2011 and it has worked awesome. I haven't had one issue.

I went with er comp intercollegiate with charge pipe and hks bov first. Then not even a month later bought the Vishnu procede cuz I wanted to maximize the hp out of my intercooler. The only reason I went this route was I was having the hole from the factory license plate filled n bumper repainted.
