Car parts and beer

As most of you know already I will be returning from my deployment around the end of April. Since the Welt meet is happening a little sooner this year I will be spending pretty much an entire weekend installing around $3-4k worth of parts. For anyone interested in coming down to Illesheim for the car parts and beer shenanigans feel free. After parts are installed and some gas is burned testing everything and tearing down the back country roads, there is a nice little restaurant just outside of my base and the beer is on me.

little side note: there are A LOT of mustangs in my area and the last time I wa helping my friend with his M3 there was a guy installing flowmaster exhaust (the most useless exhaust) on his new 5.0 and was talking s**t about the M3. So needless to say there are plenty of opportunities to hurt some feelings while you are here.

im having second thoughts about that. I think i might do custom 2.5" true duals with resonated mids. my car is so loud, im worried my neighbors (well, just one in particular) will call the cops on me one day.

but april is a long way off, and ill change my mind 17 times before then.

i got a travel voucher that should be paying me soon, i think im gonna drop it on suspension upgrades from HPA. control arms, subframe bushings, toe arms, and fsb. should be pretty legit. Im just worried about getting the bushings out without their special tool.

im also gonna switch to JB4, get a DCI, and run meth, hopefully before summer.

I have the JB4 and I love it, i also am running a 70/30 meth mixture. If you're anything like me you just start laughing the first time you stomp on the gas once you've installed the meth, its such a game changer and when the tank is low and the meth cuts off you'll be like WTF! why did my car just slow down immensely!

im gonna go with the WW kit, and ninja mount the pump under the headlight. all i gotta do is keep a gallon of blue juice in the trunk!

Im still reading up on meth. Im a total noob for that shit. Ive never ran meth/water/alcy injection on a car before.

thats also the reason i wanna switch to JB4. everyone on the other forum runs it, and terry does such a great job of supporting it. Procede has been good to me, its awsome for some plug and play power, but im getting a little beyond it.

The WW kit is good for quick removal before service and what not. I don't think I could run that one cause I use Methanol 100 that I get on the economy.

what are the benefits of running higher meth:water ratios? everytime someone brings this up on n54tech, it turns into a huge argument. I dont see myself running over 18psi on stock turbos, and i always have at least 93 octane in the trunk (sometimes 94/95 depending on how much fuel i got off base. I splash with the shell 100, or the aral 102 every tank. i think that stuff is 95/97 octane respectively.)

shell 100 is around 95 octane
aral 102 is around 98 octane

the ratio question always turns into an argument cause everyone has their own opinion based on what they use their car for and what they have found works best for them, its just that a lot of people don't know how to express their opinion in a proper manner.

as i am sure you have learned thru research meth increases octane levels so its like you're running race gas, i.e. you can run map 7 without actually having race gas.

the distilled water is what cools the air temps, when i'm not spraying my intake temps are 140 degrees or so, when i am spraying i rarely get above 86 degrees and thats close to redline.

I'll probably do some 60/40 testing when i get back and see what happens. i will also be working more on my custom map 6, which i will probably hit 17.5-18psi on but that ones only for racing cars i might not beat otherwise. for daily driving i use map 2 and 70/30 is a little much for that map. I actually that map and meth mixture to pull on my friends bolt on M3 but that will soon change cause he's looking at getting a supercharger.

Elsabor - yeah Josh is looking at getting a s/c and i noticed you were catching up so i had to start driving like i meant it!

ezeedee - you will certainly enjoy your JB4 and meth whenever you get that. Meth around Nurgburgring is great! Helps to offset some of the heatsoak problems of driving hard for about 12.9 miles!

JK- In the video, all that is heard is your car screaming away like a stolen banshee I was like...DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!

EZ- I can attest to JK's comment about meth at the 'ring. I was running meth that day also and it helped alot.

Little update:
SleK lip, alpine HID AE's, M3 front control arms and tension rods on the way.
Elsabor I assume we are still good on the lip for springs trade?

Oh yeah, Rikx I will work on getting some hot chicks out there but my entire base is deploying about when I get back so I can't promise anything but I'll try.

JK, we are good. The Springs are yours. My pro-kit came in and after calling Vorshlag about the measurements for the camber plates inserts going with the pro-kit, all I need is a set of 12mm inserts and they are on the way now. The springs will be out of the car in the coming weeks (3 weeks at the latest from today.)
