Don't really now how to explain but...

Ok so I recently installed a bov and I love it...blows off really loud in first and second when getting on it. A few times in third when letting of it makes like a slight blow off... hesitates and lets more out..thats my first issue. Second is that I don't have a program to log data or a boost gauge yet but first and second you can really feel the power kick in and turbos...when in third lets say around 4000 and I punch it, the turbos spool but the car doesn't really take off. It could be me but I'm not sure. I would think it would not necessarily take of like in 1st or 2nd but should relatively move. When letting of throttle in 3rd after punching it the bov does blow of pretty hard so idk..can someone explain this to me..sorry if my explantations are iffy..kind of hard to explain without you physically being there

Cpe and hks. The power thing I've notices prior to the charge pipe and bov. The double release of the bov happened only twice and that's when I was just messing around and had her in 4 and just stepped on throttle and released off the gas quickly

I just have the ER CP and Tial BOV on my car, and sounds similar to your experience. Not really loud, and I can never hear the BOV if my windows are up. If I give it gas and quickly shift to another gear I hear it whoosh loudly (windows cracked/down), but when driving normally I can barely hear it. I imagine if you do more modifications to the car and a tuner it would become more loud.

If you feel like it is hesitating releasing that can't really be a good thing. Did you buy it new or used?

Thats normal cause you're just not boosting fully..if you open up throttle more you'll hear it louder. Tial also isn't a very loud bov from what I've read. I can hear mine, just am not sure if there is an issue with the power in 3rd or 4th. I've also been told that because of the longer gears I won't feel all the power...don't know how true that is or not. The double release i've been told by my brother that it could be due to the clutch delay cause his does it too..idk if thats true or not either

Hard to really diagnosis without more info or without driving the car. There is a rather dramatic difference in 1-2 gears then the higher gears but my BOV is pretty consistent. I use a synapse BOV with ER pipe. I would first get a boost gauge and check that out. You will see how much boost you are getting (stock 6-7lbs) and that could help determine if you are having any leaks etc. also, what software update do you have on your car? I have read a lot about different software updates from BMW doing some strange things.
