I prefer a wheel specifically made, in every way, for my car. When buying new wheels i want to avoid spacers, electrial tape, etc.

Thats the value I see, or hope to see in these Apex wheels

+1. Hopefully production hasn't been pushed back too.

Pre-Order is live.

Paintpro, can you give us your thoughts on 1-series offsets?

Agreed. I still need to know what sort of rubber is recommended for a 1 series without camber plates on the EC7

Two wheels were made specifically for the 1 series. None of the other wheels are an acceptable fitment for this application. The following are the only sizes that should be used on a non-m 1 series (1M can copy M3 fitments).

18x8.5" ET45
18x9.5" ET58

The 18x8.5" ET45 wheel can be used with a 235/40/18 on a stock or modified car. With camber plates set to -1.5 degrees or more a 245/35/18 can be used cleanly. With camber plates and trimming of tabs within the fender and a possible need for a thin spacer depending on the specific tire, a 255/35/18 can be used up front.

The 18x9.5" ET58 can be used with a 265/35/18 on a stock or modified car on the rear. This is the intended tire size for this wheel/offset. 255/35/18 can easily be run without any issues. 275/35/18 can be run but fender rolling may be required depending on the tire used. The 275 setup is not recommended without research and familiarity with all the variables.

If a square setup is desired, then the only direct bolt on would be 235/40/18 square on a stock car. with camber plates up front a 245/35/18 square setup could be used. 255/35/18's will not fit properly in the rear on the 8.5" ET45 wheel without aggressive fender modifications which is why we recommend limiting an 18x8.5" ET45 square setup to 245/35/18 tires.

Please note: we do NOT recommend the use of 245/40/18 tires as they are tall.

This would be on an eibach pro system kit setup....

Very interested in these

Well, realize I have many fewer torques than you as a preface.

I'm going for 235 square all around with PSSs. I prefer the more neutral setup. On my E36 M3 I had a 245 square setup and I loved it, and in many ways the 128i is the E36 M3 2.0 so I'm trying to get a similar thing going.

You could do 245 square if you had camber plates up front, which you should have along with a proper suspension setup if you are going to be doing a good number of track days as you indicated. That and proper tires(read PSS) should keep you nailed to the ground.

Fitment Q?

I'm in for the pre-order. Too bad the summer season will be nearly over before they show up, but such is life.

I'm going for a staggered set-up and thinking 235 front with 265 rear. It sounds like that'll generally work, but it'd be great to confirm fitment using Michelin PSS's in that size (knowing they run slightly wider) on a car slightly lowered (I've got a Dinan suspension, so only ~1/2" drop). Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Bryan

Is no one worried about the front offset / size?

Oem 135 wheels are 7.5 width and et49.

These are 8.5 width and et45.

According to 1010tires offset calculator, this would be like runnig a 17mm spacer on the stock wheels.

With wider tires, will this fit? I can't imagine it would with wider tires....but maybe I'm missing something.

My car rubbed on eibach suspension with a 10mm spacer and 225 re-11 tires on stock wheels.

First time to post! I think the new wheels are hot! So much so that I'm about to put my order in. Before I do I'd just like someone to confirm with me that my set up is good to go.

I'd like to run 18x8.5 ET45(profile 1) with 225/40 PSS up front & 18X9.5 ET58 with 255/35 PSS for the rear, or should I go with 265/35? Will it really fit with no issues? Also, are BMW center caps available for the new wheels? Thanks!

After reading through eveything again, I just realized that the only choice we have for our One series is Profile 1. I believe the pics are of Profile 3, right? What I would really like to see are some pics of Profile 1 from different angles.

The photos in the original post were taken from our blog and are not 1 series wheels. On page two of this thread we posted photos of the profile 1 wheels
