Clear bra is invisible on the VO paint and has stopped a lot of rocks recently in a construction zone. Very glad I have it

Had 3m clear bra done on my AW 1M last week at Premiere in Fremont, CA. REALLY, REALLY HAPPY I GOT IT DONE (only wish I did it the day I got the car). Guys at Premiere were fantastic and they did an outstanding job. I got the basic kit plus had the rocker panels done. They made several small (but highly beneficial) custom upgrades to the basic package at no charge.

They came very highly recommended and now I know why. Everything was perfect. excellent workmanship and done right on time.

Yes, but the paint is prone to chipping, so why not protect it.

I only have two tiny nicks in Aw. Not sure if its luck or paint but so far so good. I don't have a bra either. I prefer a natural "patina" over bras especially when they get old. One thing with AW is that the primer is white and less noticeable if it happens. What color primer is under VO?

Hey. Just got a Carbon Black (very dark blue...not sure why they call it black, lol), thinking of doing the PPF.

Anyone know where I can get this XPEL Ultimate installed on my car in the Toronto, Canada area? Doesn't seem to list anything on their site.

On alpinewhite, it can look like your car has been pissed on overtime. Regardless of taking proper care, I have seen some go really yellow. This is a quick mod when you are bitten by the bug IMO. Save your money/ put towards a second bumper if you are that concerned. That's my 2 c

Relatively new ppf product -- Avery-Denison Nano-Fusion -- which I now have on my AW 1M supposedly resists yellowing far better than any other film product.

So far, so good on my car!

If you track your 1M, it's a no brainer to do the PPF on the leading edges. Track tires kick up a lot of debris.

The largest could be an 1/8th has the paint still hanging on. its actually lifted and you can get your fingernail underneath it. One swipe with a towel and it will peel off. Its thick though, its a meaty chunk.

I have never experienced a paint chip. Maybe I had them on some of my less worthy DDs but again I never noticed it.

Another thing I have never had is a crack in a windshield. I have that in my 1M too. I will have the glass replaced in the next week or two, as far as the hood I havent decided what to do yet.
The VO is crappy paint, so I crossed my fingers and went with 3M; so far so good--only mistake was not doing entire hood, tho no chips so far. For your chips, worth it to try Dr. Colorchip--works GREAT on small ones (<2mm), larger will show more variability depending on color and technique...
