ADVAN Performance, N54 "PWR Street/Track ALL Aluminium Radiator", GROUP BUY

Hey Gents,

I am very pleased to introduce to you a Group Buy we are offering, on our N54 PWR "Street/Track" ALL aluminium radiators.

The PWR "Street/Track" radiator is a very nicely manufactured unit.

The rad' pictured below has been installed in our 135i R&D vehicle for some time now, with no issues whatsoever.

After we provided PWR with some exacting measurements, they had to make some very minor changes for the 135i unit, over that of the 335i unit that was already available.

However I can tell you that fitment is perfect.

Whilst we have not test fitted the rad into a MT 335i, I am quite confident fitment will also be spot on, as the design by PWR was originally intended for the 3 series vehicle.

We have also just purchased an AT 335i shop vehicle, as such we will be able to confirm correct fitment for all you Auto tranny guys.

- The PWR radiator will be available for $795.00

Please note that the above pricing is exclusive of shipment.

We require a minimum of 5 purchasers to be able to offer this fantastic pricing.

1. Alpina_B3_Lux

2. Autobahn335i

3. Orb

4.

5.

Please PM me with your expression of interest or simply post in this thread.

Cheers,

Peter.

Hey mate,

the three track days we have done with the 135i were with the PWR rad' installed, the car was never tracked with the OE rad.

As such we do not have any true comparative data, however on the track the water temps were consistently below 100 degrees Celsius.

In fact the only time the water temp rose above 100 degrees Celsius was when the car was stationary in the pit lane, whilst making adjustments to the coil overs, checking tyre pressures etc.

Unfortunately in that situation water temperature will for the most be part be regulated by the DME, via the speed of both the electric water pump and the thermatic fan.

IIRC, there was one instance where the temp rose to 108 whilst the car was idling, but within 30 seconds of getting back onto the track it was sub 100 again and still falling.

I should also add,

that we run a PROcede tune so we did not have the use of the "MaxCool" function that the JB4 guys have.

Without the use of the above, I do not believe you will see a super significant reduction in engine water temperature with daily driving.

However when the car is at speed or under WOT the additional air & water flow through the more efficient core, will see temps drop very quickly and remain consistently low.

Hi Gents,

I have followed up on some shipping options to supply the PWR radiator, to forum members in the US.

Unfortunately it's not shaping up that well.

My prefered shipping method is FedEx given the delicate nature of a radiator, as the core is easily damaged.

I could safely combine two units for shipment to the US in the one box, which would make the rate reasonable (notwithstanding the logistical hassle).

However at this stage to ship units individually, is just too cost prohibitive for you guys.

But I have a few more options to explore with other companies and will do so come Monday.

Cheers.

Hi,

How much for one of these shipped to the UK?

I presume they would fit a RHD manual transmission 135i.

Cheers

Hi Jack,

I will chase up a shipping quote for you.

They most certainly do "fit a RHD manual transmission 135i."

The PWR rad' as pictured in this thread, was fitted to a car with the same specs.

Hi Jack,

I have a quote from DHL.

Whilst it is better than FedEx you are still looking at approximately $550.00

We are in the process of opening an account with DHL, which will allow for a somewhat better shipping rate across the board.

Can you please provide your post code, so I can obtain an exact quote for you, once our DHL account application has been approved.

Hi Gents,

further to the above post.

After investigating several shipping options for International customers, it would seem DHL is the next best shipping method after FedEx.

Whilst we have secured an excellent rate for small to medium size packages via FedEx, large boxes will be less costly via DHL.

DHL offer the same excellent online tracking capability as FedEx and whilst I have not personally used DHL before, my research suggests they will be just as reliable.

Unfortunately the size of the radiator and the necessary packaging, precludes a cheap shipping solution Internationally.

However for International customers it is worth noting, that both our Stage 1 & Stage 2 oil cooler kits will fit into the same box, we will be shipping the rad' in.

For those guys that are super keen to get their hands on the upgraded PWR radiator and have yet to install a "proper" oil cooler kit into their vehicle, purchasing the ADVAN Performance, N54 "Complete Cooling Solution" will certainly be the most cost effective route.

Hey guys,

further to my post regarding DHL shipping charges, I am very happy to report that the cost to deliver the PWR rad' to the US in particular, is now significantly less than I was first quoted by FedEx.

Please feel free to post in this thread to request a shipping estimate.

As a mentioned in the above post we can package an oil cooler kit in the same box, to maximise the value of the shippings costs for International customers.

Alternatively we could package two radiators for delivery to the US, into the one box.

Of course that would require the primary receiver to forward the other rad' to the second purchaser.

However by splitting the International shipping costs, the revised shipping charges would be SUPER significant for both guys.

I have the Dinan intercooler fitted, which is a bit larger than the stock iontercooler. Will the PWR radiator still fit?

Hey mate,

the PWR rad' will most certainly fit.

We have a HPF intercooler in our 135i which is a lot larger than stock and fitment is perfect.

FYI,

I have now secured significantly better International shipping rates.

How does $230 less than my original quote sound?

By the way there is plenty of space in the radiator box for anything else you may be interested in.
