Just had my Forge FMIC installed today And then a dyno run right after the install. My dyno numbers look lower than I'd expect, but there was a gain of 35bhp and about 25Nm at the crank. The car definitely feels more powerful, and boost is more consistennt. I also have JB4 on Map 6, Akrapovic slip-on and N55 midpipes. Have been monitoring IATs on JB4 hijacking the oil temp gauge, IATs have dropped 15C, consistent with what Aussie found. The air temps are about 34C where I live right now!

The core is of bar and plate construction, with aluminium end tanks compared. Size is not what a cooler is all about but efficiency and airflow of the core and end tanks in the design, and nor is a cooler used on its own to create 'big peak power', it forms part of an overall performance package allowing you to run increased boost over stock and assisting in keeping IT temps at bay. Quality not quantity!

Mine ran (oem software) 15 deg C cooler on the dyno with limited airflow compared with the oem cooler. On the road that would increase somewhat.
Exactly what I was looking for... numbers!! Thanks for taking the time to write that up. I know you need complimentary pieces for a package, just trying to decide which FMIC to include.

Papi: just keep in mind if you go with the Forge, def specify the 1M! They have a different version for the 1M which sadly is a bit more pricey than their N54 generic one, you want the former for no cutting/trimming, if you get the N54 'generic' you'll need to do some trimming. I'm heavily leaning towards Forge given the reviews and seeing its fabrication/craftsmanship, all others that require no cutting seem to scream a bit of Made in China to me... Let me know if it is something you wanna do soon, maybe we can bundle an order and get better pricing.

Great, so far we have 4! keep them coming guys, I would be happy to engage with a vendor who so far has the best pricing and has shown willingness to work with us further if we can get a mini GB together.

After doing some more research on the Forge N54 'generic' vs 1M version, there def is a difference between the two, and the price variation seems warranted (more expensive to build, and of course as any company they have to account for the added R&D).

I literally spoke to Sean at Forge on Wednesday about setting up a group buy for this exact product. What a coincidence.

Since Forge is local to us, and we've done a few installations of our own on this product, I can absolutely vouch for the quality.

If we're in need of a group buy, let me know; I can get it moving!

Well you can do what all the young boy races over here do and remove the honeycomb grill or if you want people to know Forge also can spray the front with FORGE like they do for a number of ic's, myself personally I prefer to keep it on the downlow

Thanks for posting ! It is a bit difficult to read though: what gain could you expect from the intercooler alone ?
