Some progress pictures, still need to replace the headlamp and support bracket, some under body panels, M3 fender liners, paint the hood, then do a whole body vinyl wrap.. but so far it's coming out pretty nice.. doing all the installation myself.

Crashed Hood

Very nice yandy! Any idea of what color wrap you're going to do?

Wrap the rear quarters in black and add a roof light bar and you have the worlds first 1er CHP!!!

Seriously, very nice progress! Looks good.

Turner has a take off white front bumper if you are looking for a match-

Gotta hand it to you to make this post, we can all learn from it.

See below, but essentially either a flat black, or the flat lambo gunmetal which I prefer.

Looking at Apex 18x9.5 et 22 front and 18x9.5 et 62 rear with 285/30 all around.. Probably AD08 for daily.

Sweet!!! That is some serious, serious rubber. How's the fitment of the hood? Looks a little off by the kidneys, might cause some lift at high speeds.

The rubber that goes just under there attached to the bumper is missing, I can't seem to find it so it looks off. Also the fenders are a bit higher than stock, so needed adjustment. Once the new headlamp goes in, and the rubber's in place, it'll look a bit better, I think.

Yandy. The horse is looking great. A few more details and you'll be past this and get back on said horse.

I was at Watkins glen for 2 days (amazing btw) and I thought about your bad day. There is ALOT of Armco at the glen so I learned from u and I decided it was wise to burn the first 2 sessions and go 3/4 until I felt comfy. It worked as the car came out unscathed and I placed 1st for the day after 5 sessions.

This post is for others. Take time. Learn. Think.Patience. Race. Have fun.

Regards. Alex.

Glad you had fun and no incidents, this definitely thought me something. Most of all, from now on HPDE insurance it is. Congrats on the 1st place finish!

The fact that you were on r-compounds without an instructor in HPDE3 without ever having to make a correction before is insane to me. Are you really trying to learn how to drive? Do you think driving is just point and squirt? I know I sound scathing now, but you're starting to show a lack of responsibility for this and it seems you're unwilling to accept criticism you don't agree with. It is not just that you did nothing to save your car. It is that at your level of experience you aren't ready to ride alone, and you aren't ready for anything more than a street car. Fix your car, take it out again, and you will crash again. You didn't do anything, not even swipe at the windshield wipers like most guys do on the way to the wall. You just shat your pants and wiggled a little bit as you guided your car like a smart bomb right into it's target. This is some of the worst driving I've seen, especially at this level.
Are you serious? This is your contribution? Watch his other vids, for 15 days he runs pretty solid. Last session of 2 day event he just felt fatigue and made a mistake to pass on for others to learn. Your comments are really uncalled for.

Don't worry about it too much man, everyone's tough on the internets. Hope to see you at sebring soon, my car should hopefully be out of the body shop, with painted hood and fixed everything else next week.

Yandy,

I'm sorry to see this man. I think I saw you once at an ERME meet in February at Homestead. Glad to see you are almost out of it and the car is starting to look good again. Hope to see you back at the track soon.

I never got to see the video, was this at turn 10 at HMS?

Good luck!

It was actually on turn 2, hit the inside firewall. I should be out soon again, hopefully by the february track season.

Thanks

I've been dealing with a new home purchase, legal labor dispute that has really taken all my time and money (lawyers are expensive).. ha. But the car should be ready soon, it's just been sitting collecting dust for a while. I haven't even been on here for a while for those reasons.

I'm out of the legal issues later this month, and then it's head first to get it back on track.

I'm really missing the track though, suffering from withdrawals

A few progress pictures, the headlamp originally installed was incorrect (did not have leveling and all that fancy stuff). So that should be installed within the next week or so.

Here you go:
