and plus the 1M lap time 2:01 vs rs3 2:05
i guess that AWD wasn't all that helpful after all!

I checked the Kyalami lap times from fastestlaps.com site after watching this (one more time I have to say, it is a repost but who cares, loved to watch it again) and there I saw that TT-RS has a slightly better time registered than the 1M (of course with other driver and other date but anyway). But in that particular comparison test with the same driver 1M was much faster (on track) than the RS3 like in many other comparisons.

Here is the link for the lap times of Kyalami:

"I can't believe they can still make a car like this"

"It feels like I've gone back 20 years in time to when I was racing 325is group A cars"

"I'm blown away. It's really a great car"

My brother will be getting a TTRS in a few weeks. We will be doing some track days together, I'm pretty excited for the comparison.

That's so awesome. I thought he was going to break in to tears talking about the 1M. That's a real testament to just how "right" BMW got the 1M.

Go 1///M :-)

Don't want to repost/ hijack, but I got to spend some photo time with one of my friends' 1M. It's my favorite car of the lot.

RS3 would be better than a 1M while...you are stuck in traffic...and if you live close to North Pole with very long and icy winters. That's about it.

Man i should've jumped on the 1M when i had a chance last year! The more i see it the more i love it! Here in Vancouver Canada, dealers are selling a few used ones for over $70k since, according to them, they've already hit "collector status"...
