Checked mine again today, and also have a July 11th completion date. I wonder how long until shipping after that.

July 11th completion date as well. Guessing it will be ready for pick up last week of August or first week of September.

Mid-may or so - maybe the third week of may.

i was originally told that bmw isnt producing the 1 series until the 29th week of the year, so a 2-3 week jump start is great news.

i finally feel like the end is coming and i will finally get my car.

I would say 6 weeks after the July 11th production completion is about right. That puts you around the last week of August.

thats for a 135is?

man im jealous - i decided a few weeks ago to try to change my order but i would have had to wait much longer than i already have for the is model.

what paint, interior, and options did you go for?

i spoke to my CA today and foudn that i am at port waiting for a boat to take my car to me

he estimated i would have the car before the end of July

keep your heads up, the end is near!

What dealership did you go through? Im on Long Island as well, but went through a broker. He said that mine doesn't even have a production number yet as the dealer he went through still doesn't have an allocation.

I went through Habberstad in Bayshore. i used to go there for my parts as they were the dealer that would match the internet pricing (and pricing from United BMW). I now use them for sales since I used to use Bayside and had an awful experience with their service department, and recently their sales dept was slacking hard. I was told I would get a call back from a CA the day after i was there. That was 2nd week of May and I still havn't heard from them.

sounds like a nightmare your in, and thats why i dont use brokers, even though the price is usually more competitive. I would only use them for cars they physically have. sorry to pour salt on the wound

No I originally ordered a 135i, I'll attach the options for both below, but it took too long and when the 135is was announced I decided I might as well go for that lol

But congrats on being one of the first 2013s to hit the US!

Even though you went through a broker, you should still be able to talk directly to the CA your broker dealt with (correct me if I'm wrong). See if you can ask your broker for the CA contact info and 1. see when they have allocations coming up or 2. push him to trade one of his slots for a 1-series slot (rarely works), but worth a shot.

i would have gone with the black interiot with blue stitching if i had gone for the 135is, but to mix it up i got the oyster interior.

Production completion date: July 11th, 2012

But the operator says that, as of today, the car hasn't even hit the body shop. So I'm guessing the 11th is a bad estimate. Anyone else??

Mine was out of the paint shop on 7/3 and ready for assembly on the 4th or 5th. I'll check again tomorrow, but based on last week's progress, I think the completion date of 7/11 that I received is probably accurate.

Just called BMW and my 135i has finished production and is undergoing the final quality check before leaving the factory for shipping. So, the original completion date I was given (7/11) was accurate.

So random lol As of yesterday my car wasn't even in the body shop and today it is at the exact status as yours! lol I'm not complaining...just confused lol.

I wonder if your projected completion date was based on the 1st car you ordered. I could be mistaken, but I thought I read that the 135is was not going to start production until mid-late July. Or did you find out today that yours has finished production?
