Performance Suspension for 2012 M Sport 135i

I just picked up a new 2012 135i convertible with the m sport package. Coming from a 2010 335i sedan, I'm looking to upgrade my suspension. I was told by the dealer that the BMW Performance Suspension would not work on the convertible. Is this true?

For those of you with convertibles, have you done suspension mods? I'd be interested to hear some advice. I'm also looking to get new wheels/tires and an exhaust.

Thanks!
Jamie

Likely the rear springs will not support the extra 200-300 lbs the convertible is carrying. The result will be a much lowered ride height in the rear. Struts and shocks are the same between teh coupe and convertible.

Your best bet, without going to a coilover system, is Koni Yellows with some sort of sport springs.

Thanks for the advice. I wound up getting the M3 swaybar kit installed on Monday at the recommendation of Dan over at United BMW in Roswell, GA. They are my local dealer, and gave me a great deal. I also had the PPK installed at the same time. The handling of the car is much better now, and I look forward to doing some additional upgrades. I think my next mods will be new wheels/tires, and an exhaust.

Dan an awesome guy! So are the rest of the guys there at the dealership They're quite a friendly bunch and a ton of fun to hang out with.

...just this morning purchased the M3 (E93) sway bar and BMWP springs from Dan @ United BMW. Going to buy the Bilstein HDs next. Dan was very helpful. Thanks to all for mentioning him on here.
