detailing wheels

Hi guys,
I used to only wash the face of the wheels but yesterday, I tried washing the inside of the wheels and it was tough and I could not get all off the wheel..
What products and how do you clean brake dust that's been settled for a very long time?
thanks!
ps I just used Meguiar's wash and wax on the wheels haha. I'll purchase and try Sonax full effect.

I would think you'd just use your normal wheel cleaner and work it in with a nylon-bristled brush...

For sintered (baked on) brake dust that's been on the surface for some time I'd use IronX or Sonax Wheel Cleaner and a brush to agitate the chemicals

I just bought the BMW wheel brush kit. Very nice and high quality item. I tried the BMW wheel cleaner which is great. But, weekly I use Griots wheel cleaner. I buy by the gallon and always have it ready for my weekly mini detail.
After Winter I use Griots paint sealant on the wheels. Makes for easier cleanup and lasts for several months.
