New 135i - TPM wheel fitment Q

Hi all. I took delivery of my 2012 135i Friday. Love it! 6-speed, M package, Jet black and just a BLAST to drive. I have a question on wheel fitment. My previous BMW was an '06 330i with the sport package. I have a set of 19" (staggered) summer wheels and a set of 17" winter wheels that I hope to use on the 1.
Before I get the floor jack out and start pulling wheels, I have a QUESTION - The e90 wheels do NOT have TPM electronics. The e90 tire pressure monitoring set-up in 2006 was entirely different then the newer BMW's. My old wheels have regular valve stems, not the rigid stems used on the new Bimmers (which I know are part of the TPM set-up). Assuming these wheels will even clear the brakes and suspension - I'm guessing if I put the wheels on the 135i the car will throw a tire pressure warning since the wheels don't have the TMP electronics. Is that a correct assumption? Any advice or input?

Yes you will throw the TPMS code. On newer BMW's the sensors are actually mounted inside the wheels and without those sensors you will get a code.

Yup, just as Steven said. You'll get a TPMS notification letting you know your pressure is low or that it doesn't read the sensors. If you don't care for this feature, you can always have coded off at the dealership or you can just ignore it :P
