i wouldn't call it luxo either, when it's less luxo than even a 1er (albeit cheaper)... you'd have to look for a force6 for at least all leather ghia level.
You can get aftermarket centre or fit a Ford diff in, I am just a little confused as to why they did it.
I think you have the spec levels confused. The G6E Turbo is the Ghia. Leather everywhere, electric everything, dual zone climate blah blah. Force 6 is long gone BTW.

ahh really? so the xr6t is the base pov pack, and the g6et is the luxo one? my bad, i pay more attention to FPV's -_- - i actually thought for some reason that there were no brand new XR6's and it was all G6's, consider me educated lol ED: ahhh but the XR6T has an LSD, what a strange thing to do, not give the G6ET an LSD :/

really long gone? that means they must only have been out a total of 1-2 years :| ED: ok quick google says less than 100 even were built, trust me to take 2008 car reviews as accurate lol

Can't even get the LSD as an option...even 'under the counter' when I tried to pull some strings at Ford. It's out of warranty now so at least I can consider my options.
FPVs have the F6-E and GT-E but it is too much money ( ~$80k ) considering mine was a little more than half the cost of that and is almost as fast.
I'd be in a 135i for that sort of coin.

Chassis, including wheelbase, is different & both the "holden" & "falcon" run 5 litre American pushrod V8s. Nothing like the road engines.
Yeah, the taillights may be the same...

Had a 08 FPV F6, big panda bear

King of the road if you want a mid/top end power

Lacked real world performance driving around Melbourne roads on a wet night like tonight.

Only had dumppipe, injectors , intake box, tune, zf auto

I had to get half padding cut out of my seat. The way the FG steering column is. I kept hitting my knees on the wheel. Not good for tall people!

XR6T = 'sporty' version with spoiler and bodykit and such.
G6 = the old Fairmont
G6E = Fairmont Ghia
G6ET = Fairmont Ghia with a snail
FPV F6 = XR6T on steroids

Wiki says the fords still run a boss, and the holdens run a small hlock chev

Not quite what is in current lineup still.. They (at least in variants) once existed in road cars

Ed: what does the f6 fpv have over the xr6t mainly? Ahh 310kw over 270, well fair enough!

Corrected how? I'm confused - besides this thread, and fwiw, i corrected myself.

I even agreed that about 1% of v8sc's are based on factory models lol

Read the rest of the thread, including the post of me googling and correcting myself, leaving incorrect for historical purposes lol

So do i (know <800hp cars that do 11's.. Which turns out to be an *EXAGGERATION* on my behalf), not many of them weigh 1.9 tonnes though...? Lol.. I didn't actually mean 800 exactly literally, just a high number guesstimate, pointing out that theyr'e really tubby cars

Never got corrected that fords are ugly hahah
