Hi guys. I just purchased a CPO 2008 135i and one of the first things I'm looking to do with the car is change the rims. I'm trying to get 19" VMR V710's, but the local shop I'm dealing with only has +45 offsets in stock for both fronts and rears. Will they be sticking out at all? Or is there very little difference between +45 and +50?
As for tires, I'm probably going to get the Michelin PSS's. 225/35/19 & 255/30/19. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! |

I run those specs on v713s , 19x8.5 et 45 and 19x9.5 et 45..I am dropped on super sport springs, I have my fenders shaved as well, and I still manage to rub, if your not going to drop it , your fine. Hope that helps!

Running 8.5 +45, 9.5 +45 is not a problem (exactly 5mm difference between a +45 and +50) You're in the clear just as long as you go with a 245/30/19 rear tire. Since PSS's aren't produced in that size, you can run that 255 if you have your fenders rolled. Most likely you'll rub when you run over larger bumps or have many people in your car. I hope that helps you out.

I have vmr v710 19x8.5 et45 and 19x9.5 et45 on the way at this moment and will be running 225/35/19 and 255/30/19. Does that help at all?

The one advice I can give is to stay away from the Michelin in those sizes... They run huge in comparison to a Khumo etc and may not fit whereas my Khumo in the 225/255 will fit.

We don't have any 18x9's. We do have a 18x8.5 though! I would recommend running a 18x8.5 +45 with a 225/40/18 all around. Good solid size, no rubbing issues. May look a bit sunk in the rear depending on your taste but you can always run a small spacer to push it out.
You MAY rub but it really depends on the brand of tire. Even if you do rub, it'll be very minor and probably when you run over large bumps or take hard turns.

My wheels arrive Tuesday and I plan to mount them on the vehicle Wednesday evening.... The tires are Khumo Ecsta SPT which don't run big at all so I am almost 100% positive on my factory m sport suspension I won't rub!
Pics coming soon with results!

Btw mine are installed now 255 rear 225 front... SLIGHT RUB in the rear. Getting rolled slightly to fix that issue!

What would it take to fit 235 & 265's? Just rolled fenders? |

Sparky I can answer that one... With Michelin PSS you will need a fender roll. Others have run 265 in Hankook, Khumo, and Yokohama without need for major fender work. The Michelin tend to run large as far as tires go. Example: I am running a 19x9.5 et45 rear with Khumo 255/30/19... Another guy has the same wheels and could only fit 245 in the MPSS. Hope that helps!

However today, I went to a car meet/luncheon and I saw some guy running Breyton 18" 7.5IN 265's in the Fronts! I was absolutely shocked that he was rocking that wide of rubber in the front. Unfortunately I did not get the chance in meeting him, so I wasn't able to discuss what he had done. But the fenders look rolled, and his ride height looked stock to me. |
