BMS Power Box Questions - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Who here has installed the BMS Power Box on their car? When you brought it in for service, did they say anything? What are the risks that this mod bring? Is it even worth the money?!!? Thanks guys!

I haven't installed it, but I think if you are map 0 then you should be ok. I think the only thing you could mess up is if you wire it wrong. BMW probably won't see it unless they somehow need to open up your ecu box

The e90 guys actually seem to agree that it's only good for throttle remap, not the power feature. maybe u can get the other product instead, the trottle remap only. I saw a used one in classifieds

I haven't heard any dealership issues, but u never know

E90post and bmw sg say the exact opposite though?

Personaly i can feel the difference. Trying to sell mine to buy other needed things though

ive seen one dyno here by Pushkin dispute Powerbox gains. Burned more fuel and power loss.

e90 guys have converted to the AA camp, and think PBX is redundant.

I had it on my 525xi and never had an issue with the dealer. Even traded the car in with it still installed and they were non the wiser.

Get the AA tune, a bit more spend but so worth it.

put it to map 0 before service... its not very expensive def difference.
