what if the price of the unlock fee was moved to the person renting the tool? i could easily justify getting the tune itself, but i can't justify buying a tool i'll use once that costs nearly as much as the tune.

Is there any post showing pics of the 128i owners? everything i see is 135i. We need more 128i Coupe pic's showing the work done. I just added Wheels and Rubber and about to add the trunk lip which is being painted now. Next i am trying to find a nice set of headlights before i go looking for an intake for the 128i. Any suggestions on some clear or blacked out lights?

, tons of pictures out there for all kind of mods. Most mods will look no different on a 128i than it looks on a 135i.

Not at this time no. It would have to be a mix and without wide bands it will not work.

this! would love to see more of this or cam 2, q16 ect ect race gas or tunes for meth or maybe a 50 shot of spray. I saw a guy in a thread that ran nitrous in his n52 for a few thousand miles and his car is still running strong!

The problem with a race gas tune is that it would have to be ran all the time unless you have a Simon tool to switch back and forth. I am willing to bet he amount of people willing to spend 8 dollars a gal to make another 10whp is very small.

Hey,

I was on the Bimmian website and they sell the AA tune with SIMON. Since I am in Toronto, I can pick it up from them personally. It says that we upload the data from the car and then email it to AA, then they will email it back to be uploaded into the car. Is it a straightforward process to do it myself? I do not want to be messing up anything haha.

Also, at the petro stations, I fill up with 94. Does this matter at all since the tune is for octane 93?

Thanks!

Yes the install in straight forward with the included step by step install instructions. You will first read the car thought he obd2 and email it to us. We eill then make your file and email you back a stock and tuned file for your vehicle which you will then upload into the car.

Your gas should be just fine.

Your website says this:

Quote:
The SIMON tool is ONLY a hand held device enabling you the owner, the ability to upload changes to your BMW software. The Simon does Not come with performance software. The cost of the software is additional.
For performance software, please contact an Active Autowerke sales consultant on which software is best suited for your particular application.
So I guess my question is, how much are the files for the stock and tuned on a N51 engine? I see a SIMON tool for $350, $100, and $0 for the E82:

Another question:

Is this a reversible tune? Will bmw not service my car if I do this tune? Haha. I'm just a noob. Sorry for the questions that may be obvious to some.

If they notice they could theoretically void your engine/ecu warranty.

I think I'm already passed all warranty points by this time, so I think this tune would work out just fine.

Thanks for the info!

Hi Andrew..

What are your thoughts on your software swap on a brand new I6 NA motor?

Let it break in normally or just have at it and let it adapt?

Just curious..

Thanks
