Windshield Washer fluid Leaking or Overfilled?
Hi All
Just had my car serviced this week and noticed windshield washer liquid leaking on my E70 X5. It doesn't leak whilst stationary, only happens after driving for 2-3mins. I rung the dealer and they advised me it leaks because the mechanic had overfill it. Apparently it is a BMW design to drain any extra fluid, should go away after a while. Is this true or are they just BS? Cheers Leon |

I am having constant leakage of fluid through the jets on my 1er. It's quite annoying when you've washed your car only to have the stupid fluid pool on the hood and then dry, leaving streaks. I'll be taking it in to have it looked at.

I have noticed this myself sometimes but I think it happens only after I've filled it up myself or I've taken it in for a service and they've filled it up. It normally seems to go away after a while so I'm guessing what the service guy said is probably correct.
Maybe try to squirt the wipers a few times to get rid of the overfill and see what happens. |
