My mod threat...

I figured that it's about time I get this kicked off. This is where I'll just post randomness about my car and the modifications that I do and plan to do. Plus pics...

A couple months ago I bought a 2011 Le Mans Blue 135i MSport with DCT from a fellow 1Addict member(Rikx1M). I absolutely love this car!

The previous owner did some rather tasteful mods and since I feel as though I would have done the exact same, it's staying that way.

Engine: Stock N55, just with K&N

Exterior: Carbon front lip and rear lip spoiler
Alpine MSS Angel Eye kit
Black Kidney grills - Not installed

Interior: None so far

Suspension: M3 front sway

Brakes: Stock

Wheels: Stock

I am hoping to add a PROcede tuner in the near future. A 4" catless DP, upgraded FMIC, SS Brake lines, M3 rear sway w/bushings.

Right now I'm looking at wrapping the damn wood grain trim with blue vinyl or cloth carbon fiber. Got some various samples on order.

---------------
if anybody knows about this "security token" stuff when trying to upload pictures that would be great. Danke

I bought this cf foil for my other car. The B and C pillars were all scratched up. It really worked well... and this stuff was pretty cheap! Its enough to do an entire roof. Only 30 euros from Amazon.de Just have it delived to your(or an) off post German address.

This stuff isn't as nice as 3M's DiNoc... but its dirt cheap and decent in texture and seems to hold up well to UV rays. I've had it on my 5er since Feb this year. This cf is flat in sheen, its rather nice. I was thinking of doing my front spoiler in it.

So I’m not the only one with a chipped hood (found 2 so far), what’s even worse is my windshield, 3 small cracks. Probably going to take my car to carglass soon. Thinking about getting a little CF wrap for my interior trim too.

I had several large chips that were on the car when I rescued it. All in only 9 thousand miles.

It was "repaired" when the oak tree branch fell on it.

How does this stuff hold up the elements? I would actually love to get the roof done. It serves a purpose besides looks, like save my paint!

Anybody wrapped such a large area on a car before?

This guy did his whole car for $3500 but it's double wrapped for that deep glossy look.

That looks freaking incredible! I was just wanting a one layer wrap on the roof and call it quits. I also want to wrap the wood trim and steering wheel trim in a blue that is as close as I can get to Le Mans Blue. We'll see.

The interior trim I wanted to wrap in carbon fiber, not willing to spend 1000+ on original carbon fiber trim. The only thing that is holding me back is if I do it I'll mess it up and it will look like shit.

I have 4 different samples coming in. 1 3M carbon fiber vinyl and 1 carbon fiber fabric as well as two different shades of blue that appear to be close to Le Man blue. If the blue doesn't work out, then carbon fiber it is.

How much CF wrap do you need? I think I can hook you up!

No idea. I bought it from Amazon.de Best 30 euros I ever spent!

This one ---> http://www.amazon.de/folieren-Vollve...pd_sim_auto_14

Its enough to do an entire roof(by the looks of it). I looked on the back of my cf wrap... there is nothing written on it. I do have a small sample of 3M's DiNoc... and the DiNoc is much nicer... but its also way more $$$.

Like I said I bought this cf wrap to do my B and C pillars of my old e39 that was all scratched up. I put it on back in Feb... the car is always parked outside... and this wrap has really held up well. Much better than I thought it would.

Dackelone, did you do the wrap yourself? If so, was it hard to install?

I'm not sure but I think Rick did the rear spoiler in the 3M DiNoc. It looks as if its the stuff based on what I have read. I like the fabric option for the interior though, most people swear by it's durability. My samples should be in tomorrow so I'll see which direction I'm going in. I'd love to do blue for the wood trim, but if the color doesn't match, screw it. Carbon all the way.

I bought the wood trim as it was less intense and easier to cover that the dimpled alu-plastic interior....my vote is on the di-noc to keep it consistent and match the beautiful M3 carbon trim

Yes, I wrapped it myself. It was very easy. I wanted to cover up the scratched up B and C pillars on my old 5er. Here are some pics for you...

I think I'm going to settle on doing the roof as soon as possible. Anybody want to get in on buying some 3M DiNoc?
