It amazes me how with all these forum posts from the US and Oz, that we still cant find one independent 1M, that has recorded actual real world figures.. I will try and convince Raj to bring his Cobb tuned 1M on the day..

The cobb have got the largest selection of maps, but they tend to be beta maps. I believe the standard 1M map is similar to the ESS, but there are race maps available IIRC. I am switching because I will be FBOed, and ESS has stopped developing the 1M map. So, my choice is to either go with Giac or EvolveR as they remained the only flashes that officially support these higher tuned maps. The only reason really between Giac and EvolveR was convenience of flashing it yourself and the Giac's official distributor is at least 2 hours away from me either at Toowoomba or the Gold Coast. Beric's car using Evolve also giving me a little bit more trust on how good the tune might be. I have to say Giac has been very helpful when I was asking question. If I live in the US where there are many support centres and able to take my car to be custom tuned, I probably would have gone the other way. Edit: On top of the butt dyno, more objective measure like how much throttle in what corner I start to feel the car loses traction, determine that it is better than stock .

I have every intention to do the same, but parenthood and living regional makes it a much bigger task than just rock up to Advan and have a dyno done.

If there was any way to ensure that this thread didn't, cause they always do, turn into a p1ssing contest then forum feuds, I would try and swap my car with Mrs Alpine's for a day and bring it up, along with the software downloader thing, ESS vs stock. Akra would be a variable of course.
