I know you say M only, but I think it would be an interesting exercise to compare the Cobb on an otherwise stock n54 135 at the same time.

Cause I'm just starting out, I happen to be driving a completely stock 135 right now... and I'm to purchase a Cobb as my first mod in the very near future.

Not that I'm biased at all, but I'd be "willing" to donate my 1'er to the cause for comparison! Will buy the Cobb on the day, if I can get a before/after dyno.

Now, how considerate is that???

The answer to that would be ~190kW before, ~245kW after

True Ian..The whole point of this thread is to determine power increase on a OEM 1M with a Cobb tune..

There are plenty of documented cases of all these tunes on a stock untuned N54..

Should try and keep this thread OT..

Well, I thought it could also be seen as a "win-win" by putting an supposedly known benchmark into the mix on that specific day and those conditions, and also Advan gets at least one sale at the same time.

I will hold a open / dyno / Coffee day late October for all BMW cars and owners, We will do some back to back tunes Procede, Cobb, JB etc Stewart from BMR will be there it will be a full day 8-5 so plenty of time to play i will post up soon.

Yeh but not at the same time. We all know the 1m has a BMW M tune on an n54 engine, the same engine in the 135. I was simply interested to see the quantum between the BMW base tunes and the COBBed tuned n54.

I've not seen pissing contests on dyno days. The car makes what it makes on the day, what's to argue about?

Peter is always scrupulous about dyno runs so the dyno sheet tells all there is to know.

I think what he meant Kenny, was that after the dyno runs, and all the runs are posted on line, it then becomes a pissing comp..

And Peter is deffinitely a top notch dyno operator..No BS at all..

I just want to know, does it only make 4% as they claim (I've emailed Cobb to confirm).

Is it best to post on the general 1M forum for a wider audience?

I know of one 1M in Sydney running Cobb.. Hopefully I can drag him to Advan on the day..

Purposely only posted in the Oz forum , to get genuine results for Oz conditions..

I should have my tune installed by then, so please add evolveR to the list of tunes.

I'm keen to see the delta curve in the dyno graph, not so much the final numbers...
