vredestein ultrac vorti?
Since michelin refuses to give us a 285//30/19, has anyone thought about these tires? You can get them in 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 for just over $800 for the whole set. I know the old vreds got great reviews and compared to the ps2 and I think these are supposed to be comparable to the pss. Thoughts?

I really do not know about these tires for a 1M. But I did have some vredestein on my old e36 about seven years ago. I was told they were top tires. I would not say that. They were quite tires and had good wet grip, but their steering response really sucked. I would not put them in the ultra high performance category. I would say they are OK tires but not Great tires. Know what I mean. ?

Just put 295/30 19 at the rear and 275/30 19 at front, all PSS and problem solved. As close to stock set up as possible in terms f/r balance, rev per mile, overall diameter. And stock wheels will be good enough for those. You will have zero rubbing or fitment issues, less so than stock sizes; just slightly heavier tires with very large contact area. That will likely be my next set (just for curiosity, otherwise I am happy with the stock sizes).

On a high revving NA car a smaller diameter can help the car spool up faster and get into the power band, but that is not an issue on the 1M. If anything, going with a smaller tire will cause you to reach the redline sooner and having to shift earlier. I see a Michelin Super Sport on Tire Rack in 295-30-19 which can fit 10-11.5" wheels. Good luck. |

I also contacted with a few E9X M3 guys who reported use of this set up on stock Competition (1M) wheels and they seem to be very happy, no issues.

I believe not but would be real good if someone would have the chance to actually try that size on a stock wheel/suspension set up. The only thing that can create an issue seems to be the extra width of 275's but people were able to fit 285 tires on 18 inch wheels at front so the chances are 275/30 19 should be just fine.

I was maybe the first one to put the PSS with just 500 kms. on the new car last December and now I am gonna try this first again? I think I am not having a third set of new tires before I finish at least one set of them
