how to get a free car wash.....

have your check engine light go on after your first 200 miles!!!! turns out the car threw misfires due to "lack of fuel" on all six cylinders.

they thought it was because the car was driven with an empty tank- which it wasn't it had a 1/8th of a tank when i filled it up the day before yesterday and only threw the code this morning.

weird. i'll keep an eye on it i guess- but the dealer did give it a bath for free.

i spoke with one tech who couldn't stop raving about how great my (our) cars are when they're stripped down with no options except the m sport pack....i told him my next step was m3 bushings and i think he wanted to give me a hug.

anyway-

yeah.

If you value your paint I would avoid dealer washes. They can install swirls and scratches for free.

On a random note, my car is optioned out exactly how the tech mentioned. It does really remind me of my old E46, handles fantastic and does have some pep in its step.

Hopefully this is just alittle bug that gets worked out

wait till you guys go the 130i conversion route
Fun all around.

I would definitely get something to address the Throttle pedal(a used sprint booster under 150), Charcoal filter delete( DIY free), clutch delay valve delete ( free from a handy mech) , and maybe a clutch stop(ebay 5$).
The rest can wait.

That's the only thing you can always get for free at the dealer.
