Anyone with Cobb use PTF?
Any one on here with a Cobb AP use ProTuningFreaks e-Tune maps rather than the Cobb OTS maps?
http://www.protuningfreaks.com/pro-e-tune-cobb-bmw-n54/ Need some customisation to the OTS maps and not confident enough to use Cobb's AccessPort Race Software.

If I was going to use Cobb software I'd consider having PTF tuning a part of the base price. The OTS Cobb tune is supposedly very mediocre for our cars. PTF transforms it into what it should be. There's a Russian guy that used them as of late to improve his tune. His post is somewhere in here, he seems quite happy with the results.

I use PTF on my Cobb! and it is much better!
I got a problem here in Russia. Our gas is not that good, so the logs showed detonation and bad timing. So they did a realy good map for me and I enjoy it much better. On the virtual dyno the PFT map showes more hp than tha OTS. The power delivery in smoother. And they do their work untill you are satisfyed. As GTR people say - ''the OTS maps on the Cobb are just the blank map and you need to correct it according to your mods'' Usind the OTS map I wasn't satisfyed, the power delivery, especially torque, was jumpy, not smooth. Now it's smoother and faster) |
