I don't know if I would call it a squeal perhaps but I can definitely see rubbing marks on the side of the tires.

I'm a tad ticked off cause these are suppose to be the replacements to the PS2 and they don't fit the same.

Are you going to drop down to a 245/35 or deal with the rubbing? That is what I'm trying to decide.

Are the tires rubbing on the outside edges? Maybe an alignment with a tad more negative camber might solve the issues.

I'm running PSS 265's in the rear with no rubbing.

Yeah, they are rubbing on the outside edges. I guess I could try more negative camber.

Well, I guess I'm going to try an alignment first. Absolutely no one in my area rolls fenders.

I'm still absolutely ticked off that the same size Michelins rub. Nice improvement over the PS2

I'll try an alignment as well. Cheaper than selling these tires used and spending another $500 bucks on 245s.

It could be that Michelin has change the actual tire specs(the physical dimensions) from PS2's to PSS. I don't see why... but it could be. Normally you only hear of tire variances from tire maker to tire maker. ie: Dunlaps vs Michelins. But I haven't heard of a tire maker making tires of different(actual) sizes with in its tire line.

I also know from my VW/Audi days that some cars can be built with weird tolerances. Sometime you would run across a car that the car body was off as much as 3/4 of an inch from left to right.

That's the thing, I really wasn't expecting this staying with the same tire manufacturer. I will say, the right rear rubs A LOT more than the left so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that maybe getting an alignment and adding some positive camber will alleviate the rubbing.

IF its just a mild rubbing issue... and its the inner edge of the fender, you might just use a wooden base ball bat and leverage it between the tire and wheel arch. That is how you "rolled fenders" back in the ol' days!

Yes, that is correct as you wrote it. The 40 and the 35 refer to the percentage of the width.
My Yokohamas are as shown on the attached table.

Front: 225/40ZR 18 92Y
Rear: 255/35ZR 18 94Y

... I think you mean negative camber so the top is in and the bottom of the wheel is out ... not a neat description I am sorry to say.

I guess yours is lowered. I am running 255/35/18 Yokohamas and as an earlier photo shows, they are square and w-i-d-e, but no rubbing. Dack stated the same thing with PS2s (as you had). Very odd.

IF your car is a few years old... they even make a spray that can soften the paint before you(try to) "flare" your fenders. Any body shop supply shop(like Matto's) should be able to hook you up. I forget the brand name - but there is such a (3M ?)product.

Dackelone: I am attaching a photo showing some of the inside lip of the left rear wheel well on my 123d. This has not been rolled ... so is this what the inside lip of those 135i's with issues look like? If not, then BMW must roll the inside lip of M Sport units??

Has anyone suggested it might be suspension related. Maybe to much compression under load or possibly the tires were improperly labeled. Lots of folks run PSS 265's in the rear including myself with zero rubbing issues. It seems odd that some of us have no issues and others have issues with the same setup. I even had my car lowered and they worked perfect after that too.

Anyhow hope it works out for you. Those tires are awesome.

It's got to be I'm running 265 pss on the back with my 9.5 et 58 wheels in auto x and zero run. This wheel package and tire on the back is A little more then a half inch taller in the back too
